Dud her hair person suggest a backup? Ive heard of photographers bailing because they got a better gig, but not stylists.

There's a Seattle Wedding group on Facebook that you might want to try asking in, there's a lot of make up artists there! Just search "Seattle Wedding Community", it has over 3 k members.

Check with Alysia Ransom at Modify Hair Lounge. She just switched from where she was and so may not have booked out her schedule yet.

I did mine driving over the 520 bridge. ( my fiance was actually doing the driving, but I had spent most of the morning being sick) It turned out ok. Just get some fresh flowers from the arrangements and stick it in their hair. http://i.imgur.com/oree6Po.jpg

Definitely depends on several things including how many other people need hair and makeup done, where your venue/getting ready location is, when your wedding is, if you need an early start time, and if you need touch up services throughout the day. Some will charge extra for lash and hair extensions, airbrush makeup, and if they have to travel. I've definitely seen prices range from high $$ to a few $$$. Hair/makeup trials are usually about $100/service. It's worth going on wedding wire and Knot to check for recs, as a starting point. Also, if you are part of the LI bridal group on facebook, people regularly ask about hair and makeup artists and people are very helpful with recommending their favs.

For both services, quotes I got for the bride were $200-500. For additional people, $160-250. Try Pent Makeup. She was on the lower end. I found her on Thumbtack.com. Also, trials cost the same or almost the same.

I have Kate Ford booked for my downsized wedding and she's charging us 150 for hair for me (bride) and 100 for my future sister in law, since we're going to her location rather than having her come to us. She does make up as well! I'm doing my make up myself but am having her do my lashes, and that's 25. To be clear, I booked her very last minute because my original hair stylist cancelled on me very suddenly, so I did not have time to do a hair trial. She's very responsive and patient with recommending what styles might suit you best if you aren't exactly sure what you want.

The estimates I’ve gotten are around 300-400 for the bride, and 150-250 for bridesmaids/mom. Def very expensive. I inquired with 6 places and they all fell in that range so it made me think that might be average in NYc.

I shopped around a lot before booking a team, as I was planning during COVID and my plans were always changing, but I can not recommend the girls at Curled + Contoured enough. Their prices were reasonable, their services impeccable, and themselves were a true joy to work with on the morning of what turned out, in the end, to be an elopement. Definitely reach out to them!!

I think the way to save money is going to a salon rather than having someone come to you. the estimates I got were about 500 for me and 250 for bridesmaids, moms, etc. hair for the flower girl was about 50

Wish Upon a Bride was the cheapest HMU team I could find on the Island for both bride and bridal party. It's $260 for a bride and $200 for the bridal party. Prices include airbrush makeup and false lashes which most people I looked at charged extra for. I've had 2 friends that have used the company and they both raved about their hair and makeup.
Looking for a hairstylist and a makeup artist. Any recommendations? Not looking for a salon, needing someone w/ their own supplies who can go on location.
