After a recommendation from this group, I always stay just south (10 minute drive) at Crescent Beach. Beachers Lodge is a building of small condos they rent out and they all face the beach, right on the beach. It’s beautiful and $100-$150 a night. So for the same cost about as staying in town there, you get a beachfront condo.

http://www.staycoralcay.com/ .... Very inexpensive, near parks, has several awesome amenities itself like a movie theater. and each townhome has a private hot tub on the back porch. Very nice place. Some townhomes also have game rooms with fooseball and video games.

Rob there is a place on 192 near Old Town called TropicalPalms it's a cute place.. They are little trailer park models that are painted bright colors to look like Floridian cabins... It's close to all Disney parks like 10 minutes and they have activities to do there too if you want to hang around for the day by the pool.. 1-2-or 3 bedrooms and very reasonably priced.. Check it out TropicalPalms.com

I'm definitely going to check out Riverside Resort also

Mount Dora Historical B&B. We go there often. Check out their website. Great restaurants, live music, shops all walking distance. The Oasis cottage is our fave.
