Bakery recommendations for a wedding cake? I'm buying my sister's wedding cake in November and haven't lived in SD for almost decade now. I have no idea where to start...

I used Heaven Sent Desserts because I wanted tiramisu and I love theirs. Not sure if they're still open though. Edeilweiss is another one that's quite good.

Edeilweiss. I remember the cake tasting better than the wedding.

I used Edeilweiss for my wedding. They had the best price and were the 2 nd best tasting. The French Gourmet had the best tasting cake but they were a little pricy.

Twiggs on Adams. Fantastic bakery, definitely go there for a tasting. We had them for our wedding, and now they're making the cake for our baby shower this weekend too. :)

I used [Towne Bakery](http://www.townebakery.com) up in Del Mar. I had a 4 tier and sheet cakes for 180 guests. Great price and the flavor options are delicious. They had mini cupcakes with frosting shots so you could create any combination you want.

We used Elizabethan Desserts for our wedding and the cake was effing fantastic. I think we paid like $750 for a large 3 layer cake. The cake tasting is done with cupcakes. Probably my favorite part of planning the wedding...maybe the wine tasting was a little better. http://www.yelp.com/biz/elizabethan-desserts-encinitas-2

I've always thought the cakes, and everything, at Flour Power in El Cajon has been fantastic. I have a coworker getting married in Oct and she's getting her cake from there and was impressed with their offerings. http://flourpower.com/
