Dr. William J. Oktavec(904)826-3937. His office is near the hospital here in St. Augustine. I just had cataracts removed 11/17, from my left eye. A lens was implanted, my vision in that eye is so much improved, I've never been able to see this good my entire life. I'm having my right eye done 12/8. I'm so looking forward to this. I was really frightened about having the surgery, I was afraid I'd loose what sight I had. I was wrong I can't believe how good I can see. They accept most insurance. Good luck!

They are called floaters and apparently they go away in time. Michael Dagostino is an eye doctor there, and I have heard that he is great.

Love Dr. Greene on the island as well...I have had serious eye problems and major surgeries my whole life and finally am at the point were I can actually use an optomotrist as opposed ot an ophthalmologist. Very thorough, kind and has been an advocate of support for SJEA for years through donations...and take school bd. insurance.
