Looking for a new cardiologist. Does anybody know about Baker and Gilmore? Other suggestions are welcomed either in St Augustine or Jacksonville
Winni G. replied:
Thanks everybody. I've been seeing Dr Tutar for years but not happy with how patients are treated. I make my appointments six months out and invariably every appointment will be changed. I have only once gotten out of there in less than an hour and a half. Example I was first patient this morning at 9...didn't take me back til 9:20 and then left me in room. Dr didn't show up til almost 10:30
Libby H. replied:
He doesn't do any intervention. Can only prescribe medications. Then will refer to someone else. Do yourself a favor, get either Dr. George or Platko who can do all cardiac care.
Terry P. replied:
Dr Tutar has a sick Mother that he visits often out of the USA
Kerry M. replied:
DR Bashar Saikly with Baker Gilmore is excellent. He is kind and professional
Alisha C. replied:
Dr. George is Great!
Mary D. replied:
Dr. George definitely.
Sharon R. replied:
Baker is arrogant as all get out but highly recommended. Ted Bass at UF Shands in Jax is awesome!
Lenora L. replied:
Baker and Gilmore is the name of the group and they are from Jax. Dr. Howard Baker is not associated with them. The docs at Baker and Gilmore are very good and I would also recommend Dr. George.
Libby H. replied:
As a cardiac nurse who has worked with all St. Aug cardiologist. And always speak my mind. Dr. George is highly qualified, very busy but has a nurse practioner. Dr. Plato with Baker Gilmore. These guys can do stents if needed, George is the only cardiologist who can put in a pacemaker. There are other like Dr. Carricola, but least experienced but good. Never Howard Baker.
OK after 3 days of testing at Flagler, my heart has been deemed strong enough for surgery, yaaaayyyy, Now the surgery has been postponed again ... a great big...
