Question for a friend:
She had a draft go down yesterday and we cannot get him up. He is alert, drinking and would like feed but we won't give him any. He has passed...
Michelle P. replied:
There is group in Missouri that does large animal rescue - helping owners with horses that are down. They may be able to give you some suggestions. http://mersteam.org/
Ok. So who's a good, reasonable, vet? Any suggestions?
Becky E. replied:
Yes, Al vets are expensive nowadays. They do just about everything needed. I've used them for years/decades....very nice. Took my class there for a field trip..clean..some smell but they work with animals. Costs is what you make of it. Hardly any vets take credit anymore. Yes, right next to Meierhoffers!!

Twin Pines

I take my little girl to Twin Pines. She sees Dr. Sheltnick(I know I spelt that wrong) or Dr Amanda. There both great! And I'm pretty picky!!!!

Dr. Getzmer at All Creatures Animal Hospital has been wonderful for us. Highly recommend them.

We've taken all of the dogs we've had for the last 30 years to Dr. Gutzmer at All Creatures Animal Hospital. He is great and a really nice guy. Everyone there is really nice. I highly recommend them!
Terry T. replied:
Dr. Getzmer really cares, he has helped us with many medical issues with the previous four dogs, one of which lived to be 17 years old, and he has helped us innumerable times with Patrick when he's eaten something that scared us! Dr. G is the best!
Patsy S. replied:
Charla works at Green Hills Vet. Clinic.
Rose C. replied:
My daughter uses Dr Gutzmer too, likes the care her pets get.
Rose C. replied:
Ask if they accept Care Credit. If so, you can apply right then & there. That way you can make payments. I did that when I had to have a bridge & found out you can also use it for pet care.
Becky E. replied:

I took her to east hills today only because twin pines didn't have any appointments available. Got her shots and license and an antibiotic for a "hot spot" on her neck. Going to Twin Pines on Monday to see about spaying...Thanks for all the advice!
