I have never been to any of these places, but they appear similar to what you are looking for: [Knockouts](http://brentwoodko.com/) [SportClips](http://haircutmencrevecoeurmo.com/Home.html) [Hair Saloon](http://hairsaloon.com/) [Cutters](http://www.cutterschase.com/) [Blades on Washington](http://www.bladesonwashington.com/index.html)

Main complaints I hear from transplanted east coasters. * Can't find a good pie. * Can't find a good barber.

No, BUT THERE SHOULD BE.

No pretty ladies cutting hair but Fred's U City Barber Shop is great. Been going there for a while and Fred knows his stuff. Great straight razor shave. Fred will keep you entertained.
My quest for a barber has been painstaking So all the good recommendations are booked out almost a month out.
The other ones don't even have a functioning phone number...

Brooke at dapper gents downtown is the best . I’ve been to four other places around town with different barbers and she’s been my favorite by far .

Joe at V.Vegaz in the Loop does good work. I believe there is beer also.

Monique Holder, she works out of 1300 Washington (you can find her on Style Seat). She's great, you need to book ahead, but typically just maybe a week or so.
fuzzusmaximus replied:
How far are you willing to travel because Bobby at Magic Razor in Florissant is damn good. Also no appointments, just drop in. Granted this could work against you if he happens to be busy at the time.

Have you looked on Styleseat? Lots of barbers are on there. I go to Jeni at Classics and would highly recommend.

Union Barbers is pretty good.

I’ll make it easy for you. 1300 washington is now Classics. [book here](https://www.styleseat.com/m/v/jeniwolff) Jeni is the owner and hands down the best. I’ve recommended all my coworkers to her and they’re all happy. You can thank me later!

I get upset about that too. Not exactly a barber, but Mitch in the grove usually has same day appts if you book in the morning. Worst case, next day. It's not a $10 haircut (like $30), but worth it if you really need one. Would also recommend checking out styleseat as there are a ton of barbers and stylists on there.
So......I need a barber to go to. Need to be FRESH for my birthday weekend. Any suggestions?? Since Jamar Pinkston out of town....lol

Sadly, the guy I went to no longer lives in St. Louis. I got fairly good cuts at the Wyoming Barber shop on S. Grand a couple of times after my barber left for California.

Executive Salon in Downtown St Louis is pretty great. Mens haircuts are $25, shoe shine is $5, and I'm not sure if they do shaves... but I bet they do.

Seconding Wyoming Barber Shop on S. Grand + Wyoming. Don't think they do a shoe shine, but they do a first-class hair cut if you want a real barber.

South Town Barber Shop Offers one of the most authentic "Barbershop Experiences" in the city. Top notch haircuts and real, hot lather, straight razor shaves. This unsuspecting place tucked into a small strip mall on the south side will give you the best cut in STL. 5419 Chippewa, St. Louis 63109 (314) 351-5993

I highly recommend Andrew K at Clayton 230 Barber Style. He use to be the barber at The Art of Shaving and he really knows his stuff. I have been going to him for almost 3 years.

Wyoming is really good but I switched over to Blades on Washington. I feel Wyoming is good if you tell the guy what to do. Blades is much more modern and the stylists there give you real tips/ help you try something new. I recommend Blades on Wash if you are looking for a new look.
