I called EVERY vet within a 20 mile radius everyone recommended to me on these sites last summer!! St. Michael vet had the best price for fixing & chipping (even with some claiming they were expensive) people who really care for your pet and great service!!

Jeremy: HIGHLY recommend Pet Nation. We take all of our dogs to Dr. Nation and Dr. Lewis. Our senior Chessie has been seeing Dr. Nation since before she opened her own clinic and he's now 13, active and healthy (the typical lifespan of a male Chessie is 10); 'nuff said....

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Nation and Dr. Lewis at Pet Nation and the entire staff. They love their patients and Dr. Marie Nation has a heart of gold. She did so much for us with our dog being sick and followed up consistently with us to check on him. I'm so grateful for the care our dog received from them.

Your puppy can be chipped anytime I recommend ASAP. It's nice that you want to keep your business local I have not ever checked out pet nation but seems like everyone loves it! We personally use Annandale vet they are wonderful there and rates are very reasonable, no high office visit fees. Best wishes to your family and your new pup. We used Monticello for our puppy classes they are great there too. We keep our business local as well by shopping at Lucky pets it is a wonderful store with very nice employees.

Pet Nation here in Albertville has been by far our favorite vet and weve been through plenty!!

Dr. Nation at Pe Nation. She took awesome care of our Great Dane for her 7 yrs with us....and even in the end theu were so sweet. I have never met such a caring vet in my life of owning dogs.

Another tip is while petting dog on your lap start playing "petting" their toes, between pads, touching nails, ect... It'll make it easier for whoever grooms the dog if they're not scared to have those feet & nails touched. Also do the same with ears, "pet/ rub" ears on top and on inside tips (not inside where the actual ear canal is) so that it'll be a lot easier for groomer. My mom used to groom dogs & we've had Lasha Apso or Shih Tzus my entire life!:)

Best Friends Veterinary in Albertville. They seriously have the best doctors and staff. Very compassionate and provide excellent care at affordable prices.

My cats go to Pet Nation, as the only AAHA accredited hospital in the area they hold their standards of care to a much higher level. Especially for surgery, it's so important to be able to trust that certified vet techs will be monitoring your pet and assisting the vet, and that the drugs administered and recovery procedures are the best in the industry.

We have been taking our dog to St. Michael Vet for the last 13 years.They are great!

Best prices anywhere are at Lake Rebecca Vet in Delano. But we've used St. Michael in a pinch. We haven't needed to bring our animals in for awhile, though, so no clue what's best right now. You have a super cute puppy!! ☺️

St. Michael Vet Clinic is great…have used them for 14 years…so convenient…they do chips. They are open Saturday mornings, I believe, as well as Monday through Friday. Shih Tzu's are easily trained and protective…lap dog and loves to play fetch. So cuddly and cute!

Best Friends Vet in Albertville, right behind Casey's. I can't say enough about them! Reasonable prices, super clean, friendly staff, amazing with your pets, very accommodating to getting in for last minute appointments and they never schedule overlapping appts (you never run into anyone else in the waiting room). I have never had them running behind where we had to sit and wait for them...the minute we walk in the door, they are ready for us. Alos, when our kids come with, they each get to pick out a book from a basket to keep and take home with them. I have never been to such a nice vet before! Highly recommend Dr. Lisa Sell!

Pet Nation is by far the best Vet I've ever used. My puppy is nine months,he loves all the ladies and especially Dr. Lewis ! You won't be disappointed !

Monticello vet hospital. When we had an unusual issue with our frenchie they were the only ones that did the research to discover what was wrong. They go ABOVE AND BEYOND. The are a bit more expensive but you can't put a $ on your family care.

I will third Pet Nation! I prefer the vet that is only there only Tuesdays and Fridays. Her name is slipping my mind now but she is wonderful!

If you have the time check out the Annandale vet, they are great as well and very reasonably priced. For shots I'd see Dr. Lieske in Maple Lake, he doesn't charge office visits for routine vaccinations

We really, really love Best Friends vet in Albertville. We used to go to St. Michael Vet too and they were good as well but we followed our vet tech to Best Friends - she is out of this world. We are lucky to have so many good options around us.

If you're willing to drive, Animal Wellness Center in Maple Grove has always provided great service! I also recommend Marie Nation (at Pet Nation). She used to work at Animal Wellness Center, but opened her own clinic in Albertville.

We love Plymouth heights pet hospital in New Hope! Dr. Brodie is the best and has helped us with our dog and all his issues!

Maple Lake is the best price around and were soo very kind with my dog when another vet told me over the phone they figured she was dying. They were kind, compassionate, didn't push expensive things and worked with me to get my pet healthy. And also did very good with my cat.

It's a drive but I feel with it to go to Maple Lake Vet. They are super kind, prices are good and willing to do as much or little as needed with your pet. My dogs aren't afraid of them (like other places I've been) and just over all a nice place!

Pet Nation was fabulous for us. Our cat recently had a life-threatening illness, and Dr. Lewis called me regularly to check on her once treatment was started. Also, there was an extremely expensive alternative to diagnose Whiskers, but she chose to NOT recommend it, because if the illness was confirmed it would be fatal (and therefore a waste of money). Sorry for the novel, but we really love our care there. (The cat's fine, btw!)

I loved Pet Nation, but spendy. Decided to try out Rockford, love it...and quite a bit cheaper!

Corcoran Pet Care Center We've had 2 dogs put down in our home, and I can't imagine doing it any other way. I'm so sorry to hear about your pup. The vet sat us down and talked about our options, but in the end (for both of our dogs) prolonging their lives (and suffering) would have been more about the quality of our lives than theirs.

Monticello Pet Hospital had a special room and door to leave after. They were unbelievably wonderful at such a difficult time. Then, they made clay paw prints for us. I highly recommend them.

Sorry for what you're going through. Such a hard thing to do. Over the years we've had to let go of several beloved pets. Each time we used St Michael Vet clinic. They allowed us to use their side entrance so we didn't need to go through the lobby. They made the process as easy as it could ever be. Afterwards they handled the cremation and sent us condolences in a beautiful card. Whatever you decide...my heart goes out to you:-(

So sorry, we had Dr. Schroepfer when we had to let our boxer go. She was very helpful as was the rest of the office staff

Dr. Katie spent an extensive amout of time saving our new chocolate lab Mufasa. Moose was with us only a handful of weeks until he became terribly sick with camphlobactor. He was slowly dieing before our eyes. Dr. Katie assisted in an emergency surgery on Moose WELL into the evening, as well as spending the night with him to make sure he pulled through. She also took extra care and was extremely generous of her personal time. She gave us the ability to call her on her personal line if needed as well as calling us to check on our pup. Mufasa is now over 2 years old and Dr. Katie is intentional to love up on him at his visits. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. KATIE!!

I'm very sad for your loss, I understand how it feels. St. Michael clinic is the ONLY place we have taken our fur family and love the care and compassion they always give our dogs.

Ask the vet if they accept Care Credit. It's a health related credit card, and you can usually get these things for 6 months with zero interest. So you pay less than $75 a month and pay it off over time.
