I had a partial removal and subsequent cover-up done at Gastown Tattoo. No complaints about either portion of the experience. But, yeah. It hurts A LOT. And the thicker/darker the ink, the more it hurts. I can seriously laugh through getting tattooed, but removal? Well, there may have been some swearing involved.

Tattoo artist and studio owner here--- The place we most frequently recommend people go to is the Arbutus Laser Clinic. You're more than welcome to zip into the shop anytime though for a more detailed consultation on the pros/cons of laser in combination with cover-up work. PennyBlack Tattoo, richards and pender.

I kinda wish the answer to "how do I remove a tattoo" was "time machine"
That said, I've seen way too many "trendy" tattoos that people are going to wish they didn't have done in as little as a decade. You're supposed to redo tattoos when they fade, not remove them. What is left when they fade is the hardest to remove part. It is going to leave a huge scar. So I'd suggest trying to find a way to change what's there if possible.
A laser tattoo removal will be very difficult and painful unless you already have a Fitzpatrick Type I skin tone (eg white and can't tan.) If you have a Type II skin that tans, or any natural skin color then removal is going to take a lot more time, and can only be aided by no sun-exposure.
Who knows of a really good tattoo place that does detail work ? It's for Carlos Gomez and he's pretty picky lol . It only took him 2 years to finally go for it lol
Soo I need a recommendation for tattoo places. Preferably in Abby but it doesn't matter

If you could ever get hold of your Uncle Gary he could probably steer you in the right direction. Had mine done at West Coast Tattoo on Hastings but I'm not sure if he does watercolor.
