I worked for Mr. Soeseman, summer of '69 when we had the flood. His bakery, then, was inside the IGA where Save-a-Lot is today. I used to make those yummy cream sticks, the cookies that had 3 different kinds in a bag, the pies, glazed donuts, and I would help him when he decorated cakes by mixing the colors he needed. I sure learned a lot about baking from this kind, generous man. He later opened the Buckeye St location. A funny thing:...when he would get upset about something...he'd start rambling on in German....and end it with ..."Oh Sh...".... I loved working with him!!!
