Thank you for all who responded about my post about my upcoming film. We are looking to do some shots at the Niagara Mohawk building as it is VERY Steampunk looking. ...

Thornden Park has some wonderful gardens - won't be as beautiful this time of year, of course. This link for the Syracuse Parks & Rec department will show you photos of the parks, as well as their features and other information. http://www.syracuse.ny.us/Parks/burnetPark.html

Crouse College at Syracuse University has some interesting spaces in it. The central lobby is small, but pretty amazing, and includes a replica of the ancient statue called "Winged Victory". Large staircase next to the statue, turn of the last century sandstone building, often called The Castle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crouse_College,_Syracuse_University
this place the upstairs has a steampunk feel :) http://www.thedailyrefresher.com/index.html

The Loew's State Theater in downtown Syracuse has some amazing interior spaces as well. There is a lounge in the basement that might be suitable for your lounge space. The theater dates back to the 1920's, but the interior decor is exquisitely elaborate baroque with a slightly Persian influence. It should be possible to get access to some spaces if you contact them.
