JJ (our now 7 yr old) had his ankle joint growing incorrectly by a 30 degree angle - he's skated perfectly on it since his surgery playing his beloved hockey:) Erica & I can't say enough about him!
Please tell me if you have a favorite Multicare-based orthopedist? One who understands crazy runners is preferred!
Melissa E. replied:
If you are thinking surgery, see a surgeon. Otherwise, a sports medicine physician may be very helpful for overuse type of running issues. Dr. Purses is great, a runner himself, and in Tacoma. Dr. Andy Lawson is in Puyallup.
