Looking for referrals for an English-speaking hairdresser with experience in working with (especially highlighting & colouring) Western hair
TIA!

Nina's Beauty Salon (https://sites.google.com/site/ninasubeauty). I see Nina for my cuts. I've never had my hair highlighted there but i know friends who have and they have been happy with the results. Not everyone speaks English but some of the hairdressers do.

I went to Nina's once, had a non-English speaking hairdresser and cut wasn't what I had In mind, now I go to Eddie in Taipei, many people swear he is THE best stylist for Western hair / color in Taiwan: www.eddietham.net He speaks beautiful English and worked in London for many years.
Can anyone recommend a hairdresser who can deal with European hair and can speak English? Had one disaster already and that's more than enough. :D

I go to Ken. His number is 0928660003. His shop (Iven) is by Chungyo mall. He's excellent, but a friend with really fine hair said the vigorous hair washing broke some hairs, so ask them to be careful or wash it yourself before you go. It's 800NT for a cut.

Cheers Callum.:D . The Italian hairdresser is Antonio Bugatti Tiffany. I posted this in case there was anyone else. I will be calling him tomorrow unless someone comes up with a glowing recommendation.

You could try Ken of Iven 2 Salon. He speaks English but I am not sure if he is good at dealing with European hair.:-)

Ken of Iven 2 is great! I went to him for years and years. Trained in Hong Kong and keeps up-to-date. I have thin, fine hair and I never had a bad haircut, even when I said, "Do whatever!" Now, I get mine done by Wing. She's great! Also knows Western hair and has been at it for 9 years.
I need to find a really, really good professional hair stylist / salon in Hualien very, very soon. My hair needs coloring. I would really appreciate...

Che-Hao Chang - Since we met in Vegas...I actually can't wait to get my curly curls to Vegas for a hair transformation at Kim Vo Salon at the Palms Hotel and The Palms Place, they are hands down the best hair "blonders" in the industry. They just do an amazing job and never burn your hair. They make you feel like royalty.
Hello all - any idea where I can find a good English-speaking hairdresser for women?? Thanks.

Oh, here's the number for the Aveda salon: 04-2326-2115 There is also one at Mitsukoshi and I think Chung Yo Department Store http://www.aveda.com/locator/index.tmpl?country=taiwan Mitsukoshi would be closer (take the bus 88, 83, 146, 168, 169 and get off at the stop Mitsukoshi Department Store)...it's super easy!
Amy L. replied:
I go to Iven salon near Chung Yo on Yucai N. Rd. The boss's name is Ken and he speaks English well. A haircut is 800 (with wash and dry). Color will put it up in the 3000 range. 0928660003 (Ken's cell #)
