Are you sure you want crack motel cheap? Cuz we got those. Econolodge on Busch Blvd. There's a motel right behind it that I can't remember the name of that is even cheaper. People get shot there so don't say I didn't warn you. There's a Super 8 on the end of Fowler Ave near Nebraska. Super cheap and you will be shot there too. Honestly, just look for motels on Busch, Fowler, Nebraska, Florida, Hillsborough, 30 th St, etc. Any of these will be cheap, dirty, and dangerous.

check hotwire.com I just scored huge off them. After I landed a deal I checked what the going price on the chain was. I wound up paying about $74 a night for a $160 a night hotel. Must tell you I booked a couple of months in advance and that worked to my advantage but you might still be able to land something!

If you are looking for cheap, interesting and moderately safe in Tampa then this is the only option. http://www.grams-inn-tampa.com/ if you are indeed planning on spending most of your time in south st pete then i highly recommend staying in st pete. there are cheap motels on 4 th street that would fit your budget. just don't carry anything of value around openly.

Upvotes for Gram's Place. If ya gotta be cheap, you might as well. And they aren't kidding about the buses-the system is crap, and doesn't run late at night, so plan for that . Stay off nebraska and fowler, so much street-level crime...

I would say if you're looking for a motor motel type place that doesn't charge much (since there's not really any attractions close by) try Rodeway Inn by the Fairgrounds. If you have to be closer to anything in Tampa there is Econo Lodge on North Dale Mabry by the stadium. Many apartments to be had in Tampa Peninsula area South of Kennedy Blvd and North of Gandy Blvd

Tampa is pretty big. Where in Tampa are you trying to stay? The Speing Hill Suites in New Tampa is really nice and clean and they accept pets.

Try the MacDill Motel right outside the Air Force gate on Dale Mabry. It had a vacancy sign last I checked.
Can anyone recommend a pet friendly motel? Looking to "hole up" in a room from March 5, 6pm to March 8, sometime in the AM while my house is being fumigated.
