Looking for large breed dog-friendly rental home in Tampa area. I am moving back to my hometown of Tampa from out of state. I have German Shepherds and had no idea that...

Try Camden. Plenty of German Shepherds at their Camden Bay location. https://www.camdenliving.com/ https://www.camdenliving.com/tampa-fl-apartments/camden-bay this was my shortlist from Apartmentlist.com when I was hunting back in April. I have an 100 lb American Bulldog. Most allowed large breeds - though don't know if Shepherds are banned... Camden properties are your best bet here. I've lived at Camden Bay and at Camden Montague and they are the only company who are "flexible" with breed restrictions. They will be able to accommodate you and they are an excellent company to rent from. And there's maybe 10-15 Camden apartment complexes in the Tampa area.

I went through a realtor and he was more than helpful. If you PM me I can pass you his information, he's free of charge as long as you use MLS listings

Century crosstown! Four dog parks. I would recommend the first floor though since sound carries and you don’t want to have to worry about anyone underneath you complaining.

Wow. Didn’t know that either. We use Puppy Palace in South Tampa for our Lab. They’re great and are worth a phone call.
Anyone in property management or know of someone that is? Please inbox me. Looking to rent in the Tampa area 33605 or 33602.

Tips on finding places for rent in Hyde Park Hello, I’m wanting to rent in the Hyde Park area. Specifically, an older place (like maybe an above the garage apartment...
Swilson157 replied:
The most desirable places in Hyde Park, whether desirable for "low price" or location, will be off the market within a week of being posted. Walking around/biking around and looking for signs is the best option in my opinion.
GolfCartMafia replied:
Stalk Craigslist. They do pop up every so often but they go insanely fast. I found my tiny 1 x1 in Hyde Park that way, I grabbed it within 2 hours of it posting and the landlord’s phone was blowing up the whole time I was walking through. He basically said that I had decide right then if I wanted the apt and sign the lease, or the guy waiting downstairs was next in line. Good luck!

Realtor here. Zillow, Craigslist, Facebook Groups, and networking at local watering holes at happy hour (Bella's almost always has a crowd) are going to be your best bet.

Don't have much advice to add, but good luck. I rented the upstairs of a house in Hyde Park for the last year and a half that I lived in Tampa before moving out of Florida. I found it on Craigslist and moved in like a week later. It was my favorite place I've lived so far in terms of the house (it was ~1600 sq ft, 3 br,beautiful old house with a lot of character, great walkability to good restaurants and of course Bayshore) and sometimes I wish I never moved.

I don't get why people leave realtors out of their search. Especially if you're looking for a managed property, most of the managers I've met got into it through real estate channels.

Anything you find down there is going to be expensive and go quickly, just stay away from Versaggi

Try hydeparkapartments.net they are a local company that own a few 1920 s style buildings. Some are pretty reasonable for Hyde Park. $985 for a studio, $1150 1 bd, and they go up depending on the bldg.
ImplicationOfDanger replied:
https://urbanlivingtampa.com Plug in your desired zip code. I found my first apartment through them and they were very helpful. They have a little office near the aquarium if you prefer talking to someone in person.
HappyCamper16 replied:
If you have a friend in the area already, you could have them post on your behalf on the Nextdoor app. Unfortunately you can only access a neighborhood on the app if you live in that neighborhood (they verify your address by sending you a postcard). You’ll probably be reaching the right geodemographic at least on the app.
