The F. replied:
Hi Gemma. Anyone can now access the vet list by calling our helpline or emailing hq@rabbitwelfare.co.uk No pressure to join..but we would love to have you on board. Merry Christmas!
Gemma C. replied:
It's my sister's rabbit and unfortunately he's getting worse, so she's taking him now to emergency vets at Pool House (Burntwood). Would still appreciate any recommendations in case we need 2 nd opinions. Thank you.
Gemma C. replied:
Went to Pool House Vets - they have a rabbit specialist, but she wasn't available over Christmas, so didn't get to see her. http://poolhousevets.com/SmallAnimals/meet-the-staff/vets/
Gemma C. replied:
Also I found in Birmingham a specialist exotic vet that looked good from their website - Manorvets. Why rabbits are classed as an 'exotic' pet is beyond me though, really think all vets should be aware of rabbit issues and know who to refer to for complex cases. http://www.manorvets.co.uk/meet-our-team/

My vet (who is a rabbit expert) has advised me to stop feeding extruded pellets to my rabbits due to the high calcium levels in such diets. He has advised feeding only...
Sally P. replied:
I suppose all animals should really be fed as close to a natural diet (as they would have in the wild) as possible. Wild Rabbits would of course just eat hay, grass, veg and similar and would never eat anything extruded. I have heard a lot about extruded foods being quite bad for health. So, yes, I would say as close to a 'natural' diet as possible is the best. Anyway, these links might help! http://www.homesteadingtoday.com/livestock-forums/rabbits/211220-feeding-rabbits-naturally.html

If she is the only one that properly deals with sm/cm then we have no option but to get in touch. Has any one heard about Cave Referrals in Wellington, Somerset?
Bridgette E. replied:
I am sorry I have no experience of dogs affected by this condition, but can agree with Karlin that Dr Rusbridge is the best neurologist available for people dealing with problem. It would appear from what you have posted that you are not getting adequate support from your current practise.
