The healthcare system in Israel is good. As a doctor who has worked here and in the uk and in New Zealand, and I was a med student in South America... people don’t know how lucky they are in Israel. In America a lot of the population can’t afford healthcare and in the uk it’s completely free but you can wait months and months to see a specialist... Can I also say that no one ‘makes you wait’ half an hour on purpose... who would rather prolong a days work than see patients on time?!! Patients before you take longer than expected sometimes and things don’t run smoothly. When we get yelled at in the ER because patients have had to wait- people rarely appreciate that you have just walked out of a resuscitation and not eaten or drank anything for a few hours... a little appreciation for healthcare workers please coz no one goes into this job to mess people around and make then wait for fun!
