Huron is actually really expensive but the care is amazing. If you go to Gellite clinic he came from Huron Animal Hospital but opened his own practice because Huron charges to much.
Denver friends - Does anyone have a vet they would highly recommend for a reasonably priced dental cleaning? Our vet quoted us $700 which is double what we paid in...

Where did you go in Chicago - we just got quoted 700-1200?

Susan - Try Lakeside Animal Hospital in Wheat Ridge. Below is a link to their website. They specialize in reasonably priced vet care. Dr. Kerri Foreman there has been treating our pets for several years. Based on their website, it looks like they're running a dental special for November: http://www.lakesideah.net/

We haven't had to do dental cleanings for Ranger - yet. So, I don't know what they charge for that specifically. For what it's worth, I've found their vaccination prices and neutering fee to be about half of other Denver vet clinics.

I'm so glad Lucky's story had an impact on you, Susan. Dental health is always hard with dogs. It's difficult to brush their teeth even with the turkey flavored tooth paste! Some people are able to remove tarter by hand scaling, but I can't get my pups to let me do that. Thank you for keeping up with your pups health!

Bit suggestions? Phantom is back at it again with making his mama crazy! I got him almost two months ago and...

I had an older draft mule that would do the same thing and the best training/corrective thing I learned was from buck branneman, I can't find his clip but the lady in this one explains it pretty well. Instead of closing their mouth with a cavason have them accept the bit by placing it in the correct position and allow them to carry it until they don't fight it anymore. It worked well for Gertrude but it might not work for every horse. https://youtu.be/RD6 fs540TJ0
