Hi there, Can anyone suggest a good vet in the 44th and Wadsworth area?

Westridge Vet 44 th & Kipling. Been going there for 9 years.

Lakeside Animal Clinic
Ching L. replied:
Arvada vet at 66 th and Wadsworth. My family has been taking pets there since it opened and honestly I wish they were my personal doctors. You find more compassion and bedside manor from them then you do a human animal doctor. http://arvadavethospital.com/

As we watch the physicality of our 14+ year old yellow lab deteriorate almost daily, we are forced to acknowledge the near end of our dear old friend. Does anyone know...
Kym G. replied:
Joel Hugley is right. I used him many years ago (well, as it turned out, she passed before he was able to euthenize her, but he came to my home at 2 am to do the job, when it was clear that she couldn't make it another hour). I wish I still had his name, sorry. Best of luck to you.
Joy O. replied:
Good Dog Mobile Vet... Larissa Cusamano is the owner. She is AMAZING!!! We had to put our old cat down and she came right away and was so calm, thoughtful, respectful and gave us suggestions we didn't even think of. I can say enough! No amount of money is too much for this one time passing of a family member. She even has individual cremation options if you want to keep your pets ashes for disposal in her favorite spot. She is truly a gift!! Also, she offers all the standard vet services so you don't have to put your pet through the trauma of office care.

My vet at Mesa vet came to the house with her tech. Love her. Suzanne Tousley! I'll be sending Reiki for you all and your sweet dog!

Beside Still Water, Dr Ann Brandenburg – Schroeder. Dr Brandenburg euthanized our cat at home. She is out of wheat Ridge and has assisted with several of my friends' precious pets also. She couldn't come more highly recommended. http://www.besidestillwater.net/
Denise A. replied:
For more than 30 years I have used Mobile Small Animal Clinic for all my veterinary work, (303-697-6350) first with Dr Ross Deckert and now with Dr Jeni after he retired. Dr Jeni and her vet tech lives in Wheat Ridge. However for Pet Euthanasia I have used Caring Pathways and they are top notch. I have also used Rocky Mountain Cremation, they pick up and deliver and are some of the most caring people I have ever worked with.
Mark D. replied:
Check Mile High Mobil Vet
Milly N. replied:
We used Caring Pathways. Again, not inexpensive, but worth every penny for our dear dog, April, to be at home. They were wonderful. http://www.caringpathways.com/index.html

Dr. Vicky Mills303-467-2166. She is Our Family Veterinarian we've been using for years. She a mobile veterinarian. She will definitely come to your house for a euthanization. When we had our Husky put down in March and it was $220.

I went to columbine animal hospital Dr Lee Bregitzer was the first vet who made me feel like my pets care was more important than the sales transactions and up charging ! His step by step approach made sense and was considerate that there was a limited amount of funds !

Dr Bregitzer & his daughter, Dr. Karen Todd@Columbine Animal Hospital have both been great with my fur babies!

I love the Center for Animal Wellness on Santa Fe between 11 th & 12 th. 303-534-1175. I've been going to them for almost 14 years - trust them explicitly with my dogs' health over the years.

I have been taking my four legged family members to WestRidge Vets on West 44 th next to Swiss flowers . They have been in Wheat Ridge for years . They truly care and they also give back to the community by participating in fundraising for shelters and donating gift certificates for many of my Fundraising events. Always support local.

Highlands Animal Clinic gets great reviews. Iv been thinking of switching to them. They have a FB page and are also reviewed on Yelp.
Kyle P. replied:
definitely Western Animal Clinic.
Jeannie C. replied:
I also recommend Western Animal Clinic. We've always seen Dr. Shiarella there. He is very loving with my dog and has told me not to do things that I've asked for because they are unnecessary and expensive. Don't be put off by the older receptionist. She is just a no nonsense, straight shooter.
Pete Z. replied:
I recommend 4 Paws Animal Clinic 9797 W Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO 80215 (303) 232-2023. They are compassionate and are respectful of your budget.

Planned Pethood in North Denver on Tennyson spays 100 s of dogs a month. Very reasonable, they did my little rescue Maltese. No complaints. Also, shots are very reasonable.

Mesa veterinary on Youngfield. They are amazing!
Karen D. replied:
Lakeside Animal Hospital. They have shot clinics and walk in spots to keep things affordable but they also truly care about and for your pets.
Maire D. replied:
Clear Creek Animal Hospital 4980 Kipling 303 424 1314. Reasonable, personable, accommodating. Helped one of our older dogs through end of life. Nothing but hugs for them. Planned Pethood if you are working with a very low budget and have the time to wait in line. Will insist that your pet be spayed regardless of almost anything.
Justin H. replied:
Western Animal Clinic at Chase and 38 th. So friendly and reasonably priced.
Does anyone know of a low cost vet clinic where I can take my kitten, Daxter? We have an appointment at Planned Pethood tomorrow, but he's acting really lethargic and...
Ange A. replied:
Planned Pethood is great but they typically don't have room for emergency appts same day. Mesa Vet on Youngfield is great but not low cost like PP. They will allow you to do payments if you ask the doctor. Good luck.
Jenny S. replied:
I just took my cat to Golden Animal Hospital on Old Golden Road. Dr. Doug Hill was awesome. An office visit was about $30.
Rhonda C. replied:
Western Animal Clinic on 38 th and about Eaton?? is a walk in clinic and fairly reasonable
Rhonda C. replied:

Morgan R. replied:
Western Animal Clinic vets are awesome. Warning. Front desk receptionist not really my fav but I can deal with it for a great vet experience. We took our lab there after she suffered a back injury and WR Animal Hospital wanted to perform surgery and an MRI for $6,000.
Kristi C. replied:
Cheryl (@Western Animal Clinic) and my husband go way back. He's been taking his fur-babies to them since the 1970's. He can make Cheryl smile.
Carri A. replied:
Thanks, neighbors! We went to Western and Cheryl wasnt the friendliest, but Dr. Seggerman was great! And she thinks it's a bladder infection. He's on antibiotics.I need to attempt to gather a urine sample and bring it back in. Not looking forward to that. He's a little freaked out. It was torture for the poor kitty getting into the travel box. But looks like nothing major
Michele D. replied:
Planned Pet hood really is great but a lot of people get turned off cause they take a little to call back but they are so dam busy everyone goes there for low cost good vet care. Just go there that is my advice.

I second Mesa Veterinary! I have a 100 lb senior mutt and they've been terrific.
Rebecca S. replied:
We LOVE Alameda Veterinary Clinic on Alameda@about Harlan. All of the docs are great, but I am particularly fond of Dr. Howard. He is a fantastic Dr. -- with virtually encyclopedic knowledge of veterinary medicine and amazing diagnostic skills -- but he is also one of the nicest, kindest people I have very met. When my boxer/mastiff Gus got suddenly and fatally ill this spring, Dr. Howard was amazing, kept in touch with the docs at the VRCC, and even did me the enormous kindness of coming to our home when it was time to help Gus cross the rainbow bridge. I don't have enough good things to say about this practice and Dr. Howard!
Stacy S. replied:
Western Animal Clinic on 38 th and Chase is who we use. They are awesome!
Amy J. replied:
I have followed Traci Schafer for years! She is opening her own practice on Ralston Rd. Near Olde Town Arvada. I have never met such a kind, competent, well rounded veterinarian (who is also reasonably priced)! I love her! Schafer Veterinary Clinic. Let me know if you want the number.
Anybody with a dog over the age of 13, medium to large build who is having trouble with painful joints... I am looking for an ALL NATURAL flavorful pain relief for Sage....

Looking for a local vet for our 12-year old lab...any suggestions?
Rita E. replied:
Westridge veterinary hospital at 44 th and Kipling is great.
Pat M. replied:
Friends of mine who are on tighter budgets like Four Paws and Planned Pethood. Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is amazing but expensive and they are very pro-intervention/treatment. They do have state of the art treatments. We switched from them to Westridge after our last golden died from cancer. Since 60%:of goldens worldwide die from cancer we are conservative about pursuing aggressive treatments with our goldens and the Westridge vets are very supportive of that approach.
Deanna S. replied:
We se Dr. Kris at Goldenview veterinary clinic. Colfax and i70
Leora M. replied:
Dr. Jeff Baier at Planned Pethood the best
Kimberly C. replied:
Table Mountain Veterinarian is awesome! Highly recommend!
Vet recommendation? Prefer close to 38th/Kipling, the kitten doesn't like long car rides...

Clear Creek Animal Hospital on Kipling just north of I 70. Great doc, reasonable prices (unlike Wheat Ridge Animal Hosp which is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive), and she will talk with you about what kind of approach you want to take with your pets. We LOVE her.
