Looking for advice on a bat removal and exclusion specialist. like the title says... some bats got in the roof and we will need to evict them once it is legal to do so....

To be clear, I'm not anti-bat, I know they are a vital and protected part of the ecosystem. I do not like them making it through the ceiling and flying around my bedroom at night, though, as they have been doing for the last week.

I think we used Pacific Wildlife Removal once for bats. They were actually quite good at removing the bats and making it hard for them to come back. They were terrible at fixing what they dismantled to get to the bats. But nobody else would do it because of the regulations and we had to wait too.
All they did is find where they were entering/exiting the house and attach a one way door/hosepipe to it. If they are flying around in your house they probably can't find another way out. They don't want to fly around in your house either unless there's a bunch of bugs flying around in there too I guess.
fwiw, once they are out a bat house is usually far more attractive than your attic and a lot cheaper than moving them.

As I think you already have seen, be careful when you call any of the recommendations on the list. Make sure you speak to a live person and confirm that the company you called will be coming to your property to perform the initial inspection. Some 'pest control' companies make money by what is known as **lead generation** by gathering your info and then selling it to secondary companies who will call you back and offer their services. This creates confusion and a lack of accountability on the companies end and is generally not openly disclosed to the customer.
Whoever you find should also be a member of [NWCOA](https://nwcoa.com/) and have their bat standards certification. Bat remediation work is not easy to get right and proper training is needed to avoid making the problem worse or breaking state laws regarding pup season.

Don’t freak out about rabies. Yes, some do carry it, but you’d know if you were bitten.
