In h.s., I worked at the Modern Bakery plant on 26 th St. Made $1.15 when I started. Got a 5-cent increase when I learned to work in the factory area, shrinkwrapping foil trays of sweet rolls. The Lucy & Ethel episode in the candy store was similar--bakery everywhere! LOL
