Unfortunately in ubud you're more likely to get a candle in your ear or some magic healing crystals. There's a good hospital near sanur in Renon, bali royal hospital, which shouldnt take too long to get to from ubud Bali Royal Hospital http://goo.gl/maps/tT4D2

What is very powerful and helped Jyoti is high quality olive oil cooked with garlic warm into your ear. Works amazingly!! Or they have a special chinese medicine oil at Bumi Sehat for ear infections. Healing light to you.

Toya Clinic is very good. No need for specialist doctor unless it is problematic. I have had ear infections caused by polluted Kuta beach water here. A gentle cleaning done properly and antibiotic drops . Pain and suffering ended in a few days.

No western MD's on Bali. Best bet in Ubud is Toya Clinic. But Siloam Hospital in Denpasar is probably your best bet.

There's a night clinic in Denpasar where an ear doctor took care of me for a problem like that. It's at Apotek Anugerah on Jl Pattimura. There's probably somewhere closer to Ubud but I don't know where.
