I use Dr. Witt. He's located in Redwood Valley. There's also Sherry Cronin. She specializes in equine dentistry and is a mobile vet out of Willits.

Mendocino Animal hospital did have a puppy socialization class I believe on Thursday evenings. My mom has taken numerous dogs too and it was awesome! I would call just to check if they still have it.

I gotta comment, Sheri Cronin has ALWAYS been there for me. Day or night, even during Christmas dinner with her family. Sorry some of you had a bad experience, she is an EXCELLENT vet with a tremendous amount of experience and is always updating her knowledge and skills.

I will second what Cathy said that though I usually use Dr Witt, or Dr Michelson, I have used Sheri Cronin on occasion and she is a very capable vet. However I don't know if you ever said where you were located, or if it was small animal or large animal vets you were looking for. because for large animal vets, location will factor in greatly on who you Can use as certain vets service certain areas more then others, and that will be reflected in the charge of their call fee.

I think Sherry Cronin is awesome. She tried to save my mule and went over and above. She had us at her home day and night and even came by our house just to check on him. She also did a great job with my arab when he developed an abscess. She got meds to us when we could not leave our animals and was on emergency with someone else. She took us on because our vet was out of town
