Anyone know of any tattoo places in Korea? I'm not sure if there will be any / many / and great places to go, as I have noticed that the reaction upon tats are not so...

Check out this group. I got my latest tattoo from Seoul Ink but there are many talented artists all around Korea https://www.facebook.com/groups/InkedKorea/

Tattoo Korea in Seoul are brilliant and did an amazing job on my back-piece.
Does anyone know of a reputable tattoo place in Ulsan? I know this might be tricky. Thanks in advance.
Deirdre M. replied:
There is a guy - I'm not sure where. I'll see if I can find out from a friend who went to him. I'm getting mine done with a guy in Busan. He's awesome at Asian style tattoos. If you're interested, search "Fat Buddha Tattoo" on FB and his page will pop up. As for reputable, while tattooing is still an underground thing here, the people who do it are excellent artists, and have all the proper sterilization equipment, fresh needles, etc.
Mysti M. replied:
Thanks Deirdre ! I'll definitely check out Fat Buddha Tattoo. I just really wanted something closer than Seoul so Busan would be excellent.
Mysti M. replied:
sounds like Fat Buddha is the way to go. Thanks everyone.
The shop in Ulsan is called "Born Tattoo" and my friend's dad got a tattoo done there while visiting. He said they did a good job on it. I haven't been able to find it online, but I did find "The Huco" studio in Daldong when I did a Daum search. http://thehuco.com/ (052-260-6993).
Deirdre M. replied:
And apparently this place in Mugeodong. Wow - it seems like there's tonnes of tattoo places suddenly! http://cafe.daum.net/yukitattoo
Anna C. replied:
If you want to get a professional tattoo done by an reputable artist who has done hundreds of tattoos I'd recommend Fat Buddha too! Just btw.. he's super famous in the Korean tattoo world. Might as well go with the best!
Are there any legit tattoo parlors in Ulsan and/or Busan? :) And does anyone know minimum prices????
Deirdre M. replied:
There are a couple. Check out Fat Buddha tattoo in Busan, near Centum City - he's done awesome work on a lot of my friends and myself. His prices are very reasonable, but are based on size/time/effort, so he won't give you a quote until he knows what you're looking for. I got my half-back dragon for 600K, another friend got a half-back piece for a mil, but it was much more detailed, and they came up with the design together. My small wrist one was about 50K, I think (I don't remember).
Anyone know where you can get a tattoo in Ulsan ? How much does it cost also ? Thank you
Renee Z. replied:
Fat Buddha in Busan in the place to go. Several friends have gotten excellent work done there.
Deirdre M. replied:
The artist will give you a price based on the size of the piece, and the design. The more work he has to do, the more it will cost. But they're quite reasonable here, compared to, say, Europe or North America. And I second Fat Buddha in Busan. He did my back piece and I <3 it. Even my Dad was impressed with the work (though he was unimpressed with my having a giant tattoo)
Deirdre M. replied:
here's his facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fat-Buddha-Tattoo-Busan-Korea/161391520559446?ref=ts
Hi guys,i just join.do anyone know any peircing and tattoo shop around ulsan?thanks!
Deirdre M. replied:
As for tattoos, the best guy in the area, in my opinion, is FatBuddha Tattoo in Busan. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fat-Buddha-Tattoo-Busan-Korea/161391520559446
How much does it cost to get a tattoo here in Ulsan?
Hazel G. replied:
Don't get it in Ulsan, the best place is Fat Buddha tattoo in busan. He has a Facebook page too. Great guy, speaks good english, excellent artist. Highly recommend!
Dani S. replied:
Actually Fat Buddha screwed up my friend's tattoo so I would never trust him. There's a guy in Seongnamdong at a place called "Tattoo Cafe" opposite the Newcore outlet. He's great! He's done three of mine and they're perfect. He's super meticulous and a very pleasant guy. Prices are great too.
Dani S. replied:
Fair enough, I know everyone makes mistakes! xD That incident just really put me off and his people skills weren't great that day. I've been getting a back piece worked on by DX2 at Tattoo Korea in Seoul and he's the only guy I'd trust with larger pieces.:3
Navarun A. replied:
Hazel Smith haha ! completely forgot that I can just ask you... you got lots of tattoos done too:D
Anna C. replied:
FatBuddha TattooBusan is his facebook page, he did most of my entire back and a half sleeve. He is a great artist Navarun but keep in mind that English is not his first language. It's up to the customer to make sure that the artist understands what they want precisely, before you start tattooing. This is best achieved by providing him with some drawings or photos and trying to be as clear as possible (keep it simple and to the point). If you're ever unsure, ask him to draw out the design *before* he starts tattooing. A verbal agreement or discussion is not always sufficient, so if you feel uncomfortable or uncertain please feel free to ask the artist any questions or concerns, about the design or anything else. Best of luck!!
Deirdre M. replied:
Love Fat Buddha. Have had 3 pieces done by him now, and they're all fantastic, including a half-back piece. As Hazel and Anna said, work from the sketch, and make sure it's what you really love before you make the commitment - it's on your body for life unless you want much more pain and expense to remove it. If you're not sure, tell him. It's your body that's being permenantly marked.
Hazel G. replied:
Haha I do! Fat Buddha has done 5 of mine! Can't recommend him enough! Just tried to link his page but I can't as I'm on my phone. But if you search fat Buddha tattoo busan you can see some of his work. If you go tell him I recommended you lol.
Has anyone had, of know someone that has had a tattoo done in Korea ? I have been reading reviews about Fat Buddah in Busan and it seems really good, but, I'm thinking...
Deirdre M. replied:
Fat Buddha did my dragon, and I'm going again this weekend for more work. He's amazing, and I would highly recommend him.
Carlo K. replied:
Heewook Byun good friend of mine, he does tattoos in the Busan University area.
Hazel G. replied:
Fat Buddha is great and much cheaper than back home. I have had three pieces done by him and he has also reworked some old stuff. His prices are reasonable and cheaper than anything I've had done back home and better quality. He refuses to do the same design twice so you can guarantee your tattoo is unique. Super friendly guy great english and flexible appointment times and length. At least 6 of my friends have had work done with him and all were impressed. Highly recommend!
Does anybody know about a good tattoo shop / tattoo artist in Ulsan?
Deirdre M. replied:
Everyone I know that has had work done here has gone to Fat Buddha in Busan. He has a Facebook page (on phone, so can't link, sorry). I have a few pieces by him and love them all.
Shane C. replied:
Yeah I'd highly recommend Fat Buddha in Busan too. Well worth the journey.
