Equilibrium Health Labrador is really good! That's where I go. Get onto your gp and get put on the mental health plan you get 10 free 1 hr sessions a yr.

They will usually send you to head space in Southport as it's free. But we weren't comfortable there. We ended up at CBT professionals (one at Coomera and one at Nerang). Very good with kids and teens. But there is about a $50 gap to pay.

Equilibrium Health in Labrador Street Labrador. Emma Howard runs the practice and is an excellent psychologist. She consults with all her psychologists, so in effect you are getting two psychologists for the price of one. They are up to date with all the medicare rebates and bulk bill completely with a GP referral. They have male and female psychologists, all of them are very good. Steph is qualified to set up an ATAPS program (Access to Allied Psychological Services) if she believes anyone in the family requires a higher level of support. All you need is a doctors referral. The clinic is a really relaxing and calm environment, focusing on a balanced healthy lifestyle.

Your GP can help find one too, I think care plans are also available for some, where you are entitled to a number of free sessions, not sure on details though. Best of luck with everything. Also let him know the details for Life line ect...pop them on the fridge/notice board there's always someone willing to listen. Jan Bond is a counsellor not a psychologist but I can tell you from personal experience she is one of the most loving, empathetic people you will ever meet. Honestly give her a call you wont regret it. I dont know where I would have been without her 0411888628
