Recommendations for physio/massage near campus Does anyone have any? I messed my back up a while ago - if it matters, it was lifting weights/strength training/whatever...
Neobladesman replied:
Allan McGavin is pretty good, but I wouldn't give it those spicy bonus points. If its really fucked, I would see your doctor and ask to see a specialist; there is a good one on the North Shore I can't remember his name. Source: Really fucked up my back last summer and couldn't walk due to pain after going to physio.

Renata Szado at Dunbar Physio changed my life. It's just off campus at 41 st and Dunbar, easily accessible by transit, and open late and on weekends. I had undiagnosed hyper mobility in my hips, which lead to a lifetime of bad posture and a myriad of problems, including chronic lower back pain and a jacked up hip I initially went to her because a sports medicine doctor had diagnosed me with tennis elbow. She saw the posture issues right away and helped me correct them, and my quality of life has been infinitely improved since. She also does IMS needle treatments, which has been very useful in my recovery process.
chipotledaily replied:
Is this from deadlifting?
keishmidu replied:
Not near campus, but North Shore Sports Medicinewww.nssm.ca is the best I've found on the north shore. They're open Saturdays and until 8 pm on week days.

Allan McGavin is extremely good.

It's a little off campus but I recommend Oakridge Physio! Staff is great, facilities are clean, prices are reasonable. I went there for a bad long distance running related injury in my hip and I had a speedy recovery!
