Megan join the German shepherd groups on Facebook and search through the questions asked about pet insurance in Canada, there's lots of good information from others with multiple GSDs :) This is one of the ones I see lots of information posted in! https://www.facebook.com/groups/germanshepherdownersgroup/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/245702955534484/

Me? Ours is through Trupanion. http://trupanion.com/canada Best bet is to go online to a few of them & get a quote, it'll do it instantly more than likely. Then you can compare what coverage you're getting as well. :)

There are only a handful of vets in NV. Pick any of them. They've all been around forever.

http://www.westvancouvervet.com/ Dr. Mizuno was amazing during treatments for our cat that passed away. She did everything she could, but his kidneys just shut down. She didn't even charge for everything she could have. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

We moved to the North Shore (Lynn Valley) 5 years ago and decided to use a local vet instead of our tried and true vet in Vancouver. We recently moved back to our old Vancouver-based vet that I couldn’t recommend higher. Dr Harry is empathetic, always available, and won’t try to sell you anything your pet doesn’t need. He’s not on the North Shore, but I can’t recommend him more. Hemlock Animal Hospital (https://www.hemlockvet.com)

You will certainly pay more for home visits than for in clinic visits. Also, many clinics are not allowing clients to come in the building right now due to COVID so when you’re calling around to different places you can ask if they have this policy in place. Usually vaccines, at any clinic, don’t cost too much on their own but must be accompanied by a physical exam - which on the north shore is probably around $70-$100. You have good questions and I would suggest calling vet clinics on the north shore and seeing what they say. You can also get an idea of how the admin staff are during your phone call. Good luck!

A week before my Pebbles broke her tooth as I explained above, I started them on Lamb Rib Chop. Nice little meaty one. They love em... but of course I held the bone for them till they got done. Once down to a small bone piece, I threw away. Anyway .. this is what the great Canada's Holistic vet says. http://peterdobias.com/blogs/blog/16688340-what-bones-are-good-for-dogs
