Can we talk about Car Wash options for a while? Hazel Dell Car Wash was my go-to for years. Now that they are Fox's I'm done with them. The quality of work has tanked....

All the car washes out here seem to love using those big brushes that swirl up your paint. Consequently I've always resorted to the DIY coinop wand sprayers. There's a pretty good one on SE117 th & Mill Plain, a so-so location in BG near the post office and a rather shitty one in Woodland.

It's absolutely ridiculous that you have to drive all the way to *Hillsboro* to get to the closest touch-free car wash. They've always been everywhere in any city I've lived but WA is just allergic to them for some reason. Have to just do it yourself or save up for a once-a-year detail if you care about the health of the paint.

Whatever you do **don't** go to the Eco Carwash in Jantzen Beach. [This is a pic I took last Saturday](https://i.imgur.com/vhNHqnS.png) after we got home. Granted it's a small car, but there's no way they wouldn't know this is an issue to at least warn us about. We even paid for the $12 "Gold" package.

I find Kaady on Andresen to be the least mediocre of the automated car washes. I’m forced to do the smallest amount of spot cleaning afterwards compared to others, despite the fact they don’t do the half-assed scrubbing by hand as you enter.

I haven't used them since the Covid-19 stuff went down, but when I last used them in Feb I noticed they were running their operation in an unusual way. Most places like this keep a continuous flow of cars going, there are people at the vacuums, in the wash and then finally at the final drying and interior cleaning. Fox was doing them in bunches, they would vacuum a bunch, then wash a bunch and then finish them off, it seemed to be a lot slower. I spent most of the last 20 years living in SoCal where these types of car washes are everywhere and I am now kind of sad they seemed to have disappeared from this area.

Just moved here and still looking for a touchless drive through - seems like they're not really a thing here?

If the company's paying for it, why not just book a mobile detailer periodically? Honestly, it's on my To Do list - there was a lady in our old neighborhood who was a realtor (think: Luxury SUV), and she turned me on to her folks (the good old "I gotta guy" network) and they did an *amazing* job for $80 ish, which is pretty affordable for once a month or every 6 weeks or thereabouts, IMO.
Can anyone recommend a good car wash service in the Vancouver area that will do an amazing job steam cleaning the interior of my vehicle. Just back from a 2-week road...
