Our favourite specialist hands down is Dr Jon Maclean. He is our ENT, he also is the professor for ENT at the university, he is ontop of new research and has a team of residents that assist him. He does not sugar coat anything, he isn't bubbly, his kno wledge and pure dedication for the field really shines through.. HIGHLY recommend Dr. MacLean for ENT - Hamilton Ontario - McMaster Children's Hospital. http://fhs.mcmaster.ca/otolaryngology/maclean_jonathan.html

Austin, TX: Melinda rainey pedi ophthalmologist (terrible bedside manner but unbelievable physician), Elizabeth Reidy (not an alarmist but incredibly thorough, kind and gentle with baby and mom)

Our ped is Jordana Hawkins in Bellingham WA. She has NICU experience, is gentle and kind, and works as a teammate for your child's health. We love her! We also loved our NICU nurses at UW Medical Center in Seattle WA. http://www.peacehealth.org/.../physiciandetail.aspx...

Pediatric ophthalmologist in Atlanta, Georgia: Amy Hutchinson, MD at Emory University/Egleston. I dragged my poor sweet premie to three different pediatric ophthalmologists because the first two I was not comfortable operating on my little guy's eyes (crossing in both eyes). Dr. Hutchinson made me extremely comfortable and confident and the day if his surgery I was actually calm. So far great outcomes too.

Evergreen Pediatrics. They have cared for all three of my children. Two of them are young adults now but my 7 yr old is a patient. She has been in their care since the day she was born. They are very focused on serving parents and their children's heathcare needs. As a mom and retired nurse, I highly recommend them.
LinDi M. replied:
My grandson goes to Dr. Rivera at the Vancouver Clinic in Battle Ground. My kids love this pediatrician. Very personable will answer all questions, etc.

Who has a favorite pediatrician in the Portland/Vancouver area? We are looking for recommendations.

Oh no! Send Easton love ands hugs. We love Dr. Voytas at Evergreen Peds plus Angie Angie Cisney Matthews gets to be our medical assist. We have seen all of their doctors by now and I can't complain about any of them. The on call dr gave Ava a strep swab recently, showing no signs that I saw, I was shocked when it came back positive. They are very thorough.

My ex-wife's pediatrician as a kid growing up which has been my kids pediatrician since birth (kids are now 8 and 7) is Dr. Kathryn Vaughn at the 87 th ave location. We love her because she cares and takes the time to know your needs personally, not just what her flip chart tells you. That is peace of mind and worth it's weight in gold if you ask me:)
Deena P. replied:
Well, turns out Dr. Vaughn is not taking new patients....so we went with Dr. Mcguiness, who ironically was my pediatrician when I was a kid. He had his 1 st appointment today and we were very pleased with the Dr. And the clinic. Thanks for everyone's help!
