check out "DoggieVacay.com" Your dog gets to stay at an actual home with a family, and ours was less expensive than a kennel. Man's best friend may be run by nice people, but it had concrete floors, and for a house dog it just didn't seem right.

Deanna Olson Heller hands down!

Heard Susies Country Inn is great from a lot of people. Also check out Rover.com..Rover .com and Stayvacay, licensed and bonded in people's homes. Read the reviews and choose your sitter.

Shaggy Dog Pet Palace does boarding? Robin Macadam brings the dogs into her home and takes care of them like family. Lots less stress for your pets.
Maryann B. replied:
Deanna Olson Heller.......for sure, she has heated kennels and much more:)
Looking for a good local pet boarding .only problem is he will only almost be 6 months old when I need him boarded. I don't want him to have to be in a crate or cage...

Dog boarding recommendations Does anyone have a place they recommend from past experiences in the Vancouver area for boarding a dog?
WKCLC replied:
Roxys in ridgefield is hands down the best in clark county. ive tried montage and others and am not a fan of a 4 x6 concrete cell that is loud as hell. Also hate the fact that if you want your dog to be outside to play, you have to pay extra at montage...ridiculous. Trust me, you wont regret Roxys.

Bit of a drive, but my dogs love Roxy's Dog Ranch up by Ilani.
bigcitypirate replied:
I second montage. Still relatively inexpensive for my two big dogs even with 3 x a day yard outings and 2 x a day medication.

Montage is always my go to when I go out of town. Dogs love running around on a ranch

Alannah H. replied:
If you live downtown, I highly recommend Little Buddies Pet Care... Donny and John are amazing. I have had them now for 7 years and they have always been awesome. They come in and feed and play with Bella every day when I'm away. I trust them with a key to my house...
Kyla K. replied:
I've used Urban Tails! But instead of boarding I had them come to my place twice a day to feed and play with the cats - they sent me picture updates every day. Highly recommend.
Kim R. replied:
I can reccommend a live-in kittysitter, but for boarding, I reccommend Urban Tails. I worked there during the Christmas rush one year. I would totally leave my cat there, if the sight of another cat didn't make her go apeshit. It's a very caring and sanitary environment. Your kitty will be in great hands! And the kitties are not mingled together, unless they come from the same household.:)
Simone J. replied:
We used Cat Paws Inn in South Surrey at Christmas and I highly recommend them. The place is luxurious with different sized suites. Sandy, the owner, is amazing, we knew our babies were in very good hands.
