You may be able to keep the tree for several more seasons by using a combination of bolting, bracing, and or cabling, combined with careful lightening of lateral branching. In my opinion as an ISA certified arborist, from what I can see of it in the pics, the crack in that crotch is severe and has created an opening for decay which will unlikely be able to be successfully mitigated over the long term. If you can't get in to Fulton (who we love), Vashon Natural Medicine clinic could be an option (they have a few MD's and NP's). I'm not sure they take Apple though!
