Anyone know of a good pediatrician here in Lawrence County or surrounding area? I recently moved to Lawrenceville and currently have no doc for my 10 month old.
Dave F. replied:
I do not believe that Lawrence County actually HAS a real Pediatrician. We use Dr. Malloy at the Weber Medical Clinic in Olney and have nothing but praise for her and her staff. Dr. Malloy specializes in children's asthma and breathing problems too.

The best Peds doctor in this area would deff be Dr. Ben at Helgemo & Liou Pediatrics(941) 629-4464. I wish my sons insurance was accepted at his office. But out of this whole town and I have been here since birth and have worked the medical field and am a stylist (salons are a hub for info in a town lol) he's the best of the best. And my sisters kids go to him and he's always done so very well by them. Even meeting us at the office for emergencies. He takes pride in his work and will live your kids and care for them like they are his own.
Tiffany J. replied:

A Ashley SiddyMae Tarter I'm Not sure but it's been like 3 weeks and they still have not got my paperwork from my gynecologist in Pittsburgh but I found out yesterday that they didn't fill out there contact info on the form so my doctor didn't know whe re to send it to. I called dr Coffeys office several time trying to figure out what the hold up was and they didn't notice there mistake basically blaming it on my doctor. And the one time I asked them to try and re fax it and two mins later I got a call from a fax machine so they were trying to fax it to my cell lol. It's been like a three ring circus. Meanwhile I need to be seen by a doctor now so if they don't get there shit together this week I'll be going to someone else. Obviously not dr Coffeys fault but geeze
I need to pick a pediatrician (yeah, serious procrastination on that one)... Any recommendations?! The catch is he/she has to take IL med card thingie. I'm cool with...

Cheryl White at Health Dept. Cooper got an eye infection when he was like a week old...he either scratched it or had somethin n there. And no one would see him cuz he was brand new. But i called and she saw him even tho they said they dont usually take newborns she was wonderful with him and with me. I was a tad freaked out. And she has seen him couple other times for checkup she keeps good tabs on my baby and I love her
Heather L. replied:
You would still get yours Danielle. You're still a 'single mother' Ross could put him on his with IL Med as Roland's secondary since the mother(you) are still on it. But honestly you might as well stay on the medical card. It's people like you that deserve. You and your family all work and have worked their butts off their whole lives! You may get more option with The Boilermakers insurance but what happens when or if he laid off for an extended amount of time???? Fortunately Ethan has not been laid off with The Fitters for over 3 years It's that badass welding of his So I've never had to deal with those kind of issues with our insurance.

Jaxson sees Dr. Malloy in olney. I'm extremely picky and LOVE when a dr is thurough. Working in the medical field (as u do) u see a lot of things that go un noticed and turn worse quickly. Dr. Malloy has never let that happen to Jaxson. She is so amazing with him. She thoroughly checks him over for every single visit, she tells me exactly what she's doing to him while she's looking him over and why she's doing it. She will then play w him afterward to calm him down then gets into serious mode sits with me at eye level and speaks with me about what she recommends of anything. I LOVE her. She is also good about getting him in to see him within hrs of me calling with a worry.
Heather L. replied:
