Attention all 4 eyed friends...glasses giving me headaches, need a new script. Anyone know a reasonably priced optometrist?
Mc T. replied:
Dr. Garrett # is 481-5555. I will let you know what I find out;)
Debbie M. replied:
TAYLOR WALLER MD 1821 Old Donation Pkwy Suite 1 Virginia Beach, VA 23454 (757) 481-6954 (Office)
Jennifer C. replied:
I think they're only $50 at pearl vision at hilltop. Dr. Ferrara
Mc T. replied:
Waller Taylor has retired. The doctor I work for is pretty expensive. Unfortunately any doctor that is not a four eyes or Pearle Vision is going to be expensive but if all you need is a simple exam four eyes or pearl vision would be fine;)
Cecil K. replied:
we've been using National Optometry across from Lynnhaven Mall near VF Furniture for a few years - reasonable and pretty quick
Debbie M. replied:
Dr. Gatten in Franklin is only $85 for the exam and glasses are cheap...no one in VA beach is reasonable
Debbie M. replied:
you can try Dr. Taylor in Va Beach
Mc T. replied:
About a year and a half ago I think. I was working for Dr Garrett at Virginia Beach Eye Center when he retired, we got a lot of his patients.
Debbie M. replied:
do you know who I have to contact to get my medical records? I have not seen him in 2 years but saw him since Dr. Trant retired years ago
Mc T. replied:
I know Dr.Garret at Virginia Beach Eye Center got some of his records, that would be a good place to start. If they don't have it they may be able to tell you who to contact to find out where your chart is. They cannot legally get rid of your chart for 7 years so someone has to have it. Good luck! I will ask tomorrow when I get to work if anyone knows more info;)
Debbie M. replied:
please ask and thank you...do you have a number for Dr. Garret
Hampton Roads folks -- need to take Sam in for an eye exam. Anyone have a recommendation for a good optometrist for kids?
Tracey C. replied:
We went to the Hampton Roads Eye Clinic in Hampton. Probably a bit of a drive for you, but I always saw a bunch of kids there and they were great with me.
Erin S. replied:
We love the guy at Ocean Eye(Lynnhaven WalMart) or Dr. Kurt DeVito.
Robyn C. replied:
I took Riley to Beach Eye Care in Red Mill and that's where I go too!
Mary D. replied:
I went to Dr Zaba - he's in the Pembroke 2 building. Great staff and he's awesome with kids.
Susan B. replied:
Deena T. Falsetta, OD in VA Beach. Great with kids! (She's in Dr. Zaba's office).
Erika W. replied:
We go to Beach Eye Care - Ryan has an appointment there on Tuesday. I went to Dr. Zaba for my migraines - the guy is brilliant but losing his mind frown emoticon
Anyone in Virginia Beach know of an optometrist that accepts tricare? I think I may finally need glasses
Jacque Q. replied:
its free at the optometrist on base for regular eye exam and if you want to be fitted for contacts, its $90.. tricare doesn't pay for contacts fitting. I go to Dr. Jellenek inside Little Creek NEX!
Two refferalls later. We are finally on our way home. Just need to contact dermatologist and ENT plus optometrist for the kids and dental. Looking for a great pediatric...
