This is Sophie. She had gotten a cut on her nose maybe a week ago, and now it's super infected and i don't know what to do. I want to take her to the vet but I don't...
Robin G. replied:
Keep cleaning it with a warm wash cloth, do not out neosporine as she may rub it with her paw and it then will get into her eye. Call the bet in Reedley and see how much it would be for a office visit and eye antibiotic if that is what she needs. Then ask if you can make payment arrangements, I'm sure they will work with you. KingsRiver vet hospital on "I" street is 638-8252 or Reedley vet hospital on Dinuba Ave is 638-5466
Kristine W. replied:
Tractor Supply in Tulare ask them for an antibiotic ointment it's about 20 bucks it'll clear up that I that infection and everything else
Donna B. replied:
Do you have a regular Vet? If so they might take payments. If not Care Credit is the best way to go.
Allison R. replied:
Apply for Care Credit and take her to a vet. Some vets offer the first visit free. The meds shouldn't be too expensive.
Does anyone know where I can get my male pug fixed, cheap?
I've heard about a mobile vet that does them every now then.
Rhonda C. replied:
Yes, The Cat House On The KIngs, 559-638-0490, in Parlier. I had my chihuahuas fixed there for $30 Each. I live in Visalia & it was well worth the drive. It might even be less this year. Give them a call. Surgeries are performed in a clean, veterinary setting.
Trish C. replied:
Valley Oak SPCA Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic, 9405 W. Goshen Ave, Visalia. 741-1121. Dog surgery prices depend on the weight of the pet. Male dogs up to 30 lbs: $71. Have your Pug cleared/checked for surgery prior. As you know, brachycphalic (sp?) breeds may have some issues due to their squishy faces. http://vospca.org/vet-services/low-cost-spay-and-neuter-clinic/
Raemee A. replied:
Hope in Fresno is cheap but it's a long drive. They are on the far North end of Fresno and you'll need to drop off morning and pick up later at end of day. Unless you live in Fresno, your time and gas add up. If you are in the Visalia area, SPCA or Caldwell Vet are the best for their costs.
Cyndi N. replied:
Google The Cathouse on the Kings. They do dogs and cats.
Our Vet is on vacation for a couple of weeks, we need to get one of our pups neutered because he keeps sneaking off and inviting himself over go visit the neighbors...
Susan N. replied:
Jaime Wilson in Lindsey, she is awesome. No frills, just good old fashioned veterinary medicine. She stays and neuters many of the dogs for CVRR.
Jackie G. replied:
We've used Care at the Courtyard for years (off Akers next to Post Office) they are caring & compassionate people, the vets are great
Debbie M. replied:
Pacific Crest on Myers Rd in Exeter. Dr. Kelly is fantastic! Been going there for years.
Vickie P. replied:
Cross street vet Tulare. Dr Heers the best. All the girls that work there are great.
Michael B. replied:
Vickie that's who we normally go to. Dr. Heers and he's staff are amazing! Unfortunately for Champ he's going to have to get fixed before Dr. Heers returns from Vaycay.
Pam S. replied:
Redwood Vet. Best ever!!
Audrey R. replied:
Our vet, for many years, is Companion Animal. Had to take an animal to Caldwell Pet Hospital once in an emergency and we waited such a long time with a very sick dog who died shortly afterwards. We have had animals spayed/neutered at VOSPCA without any problems, they are now out off Plaza Dr. & Goshen Ave.
Tami C. replied:
Companion is awesome they see every animal and reptile. If u love ur pet they love them too. My mom takes her 120 tortoise to them and they spoil him to death in there. They give my dogs treats to try to calm them sown. Can't say enough good things about them and if you lucky to get Dr. Kuswa she is semi-retired but the best veterinarian I have ever taken my fur babies too
Antonia R. replied:

Jacqueline S. replied:
Susan Nejman is right . That place is probably the cheapest around there.
Karen O. replied:
For that, I go to Dr. Imbach at All Creatures in Porterville. He's good and it's worth the drive for the savings you'll get!
Anita I. replied:
I use Caldwell Pet Hospital for the same thing with my Chihuahua
Anyone know a decent priced vet to fix a cats mangled tail???
Kat T. replied:
Companion is the least expensive vet I've ever found. Their prices are half of other places. I'd take the cat in fast before it starts to set. They're at Akers and Walnut, in Visalia. http://www.dpetdoc.com/
Kat T. replied:
Companion Animal in Visalia, cheapest vet I've found and amazing service. Sitting in here right now actually.
Randi Q. replied:
Dr. Meyer & Nicholas from Kingsburg are amazing plus they work with you.
I desperately need a "mobile" veterinarian .... Does anyone know of one here in the Visalia area? I've had a rough week with trigger and he's too big and can't walk :(
Joelle C. replied:
Dr. Svihla does come to the house in Lemoore and Hanford, for sure. He may come to Visalia.... 924-7532
