why when someone asks a question does everyone have to jump down their throats wth their opinion. most people have already done the reasearch on declawing a cat. I had my cats declawed years ago because they was climbing up the curtains. my one cat was a few pounds heavier than the other and he did limp like it may have hurt him so they gve him some meds for a few days and it was fine. People are so judgemental. Not local but we alays take our animals to Sparta Vet.

Allendale Animal Hospital quoted me $250 per cat yesterday. This does not include shots, which are $41 per cat. Shots are a must before declawing.
Looking to get my cat declawed, can anyone recommend a good vet who is resonabily priced. We take him on post but they are not doing surgeries right now. TIA

I'm pretty sure you can just google vets in the area and just start calling and asking... i don't recommend doing it, but it's up to you. Maybe you can try an alternative like http://www.softpaws.com/? Alternatives to Declawing, Nail Caps for Cats www.softpaws.com Soft Paws are vinyl caps that glue to your cats claws protecting against scratching

We used Crawford Rd vet clinic recently and it was $125 and included meds and they kept our cat until they were sure he was going to be fine. We tried all other options and this was the solution we had to go to. If it came down to doing this or getting rid of my baby I would make the same decision again.

We go to Double Churches Animal Clinic. I'm not sure if they declaw as ours was done in Texas when we lived there. They have helped us tremendously as we have a cat who has horrible allergies. Again, not sure if they offer that service, but our experience with them over the past few years has been great.

Animal Care Clinic on Wynnton rd will do front and back, but not after a year old. They are the cheapest around. I called everywhere. $95 for front and $95 back.
Looking for pros & cons on declawing a cat/kitten. What are your thoughts on it? What vet would you recommend to go through? Does anyone know about how much they would...

Do not declaw it is cruel beyond belief. Try these instead ;) http://www.softpaws.com/
Need to get my cat fixed and front claws taken out ? Where is a cheap place to do this ,???
Avery A. replied:
You can get your cats fixed at the East Village Animal Clinic (in London), they base the pricing on your income. Otherwise, Kirkton has a great veterinary clinic! However, declawing a cat isn't recommended- since it is an extremely painful procedure. There are other solutions to this, like trimming their nails (just like you do with a human) or getting caps for their nails (you can get them at most pet stores): http://www.softpaws.com/soft-paws-cats/

Tracy McIntosh Lucan actually closed about 6 months ago (Dr. Roe retired)! That's where we used to take our cats.

St. Mary's Vet clinic did ours for $400. And they were amazing. 2 overnights as well.
Can I get a voucher for a spay/neuter? Can anyone suggest a low priced Vet for the surgery. Also, what are some solutions for sharp cat claws
Katelyn W. replied:
Be The Solution, Inc will give you a voucher, and they have vets they work with...

Every Saturday from noon-3 pm at the Tallahassee Animal Shelter (near Tom Brown) you can pick up a spay and neuter voucher. Also on Tuesdays from 11 am-1 pm you can pick up a spay/neuter voucher at Animal Aid Spay and Neuter clinic on Boone Blvd. I pers onally use Animal Aid for all my spays and neuters, they are good at what they do and very affordable! They can also work with you on payments and accept post dates checks. smile emoticon
