Aylmer Vets were my vet, and they were very reasonable. Once Dr. Varney Senior did not even charge me for looking at my dogs eye, that looked pretty bad, like it was a bit hanging out of her head, but he said it would be fine and sent me home without billing. She was fine, but looked like a monster for a few days. Stranger: "Oh, what a beautiful dog", Sadie lifts her head to greet stranger. - look of horror in strangers eyes!:D

Welcome to Wakefield! We use Clinique Vétérinaire de la Gatineau Inc. They're just south of The Giant Tiger. A great group. One of my neighbors, also a fellow animal lover, swears by Dr. Francis Dugan. Basically, you have at least two great choices. I'm looking for recommendations for someone to take down a large, rotten tree on our property. Value for money, i.e., competence but reasonable prices, if possible!
There was a post from someone looking for vet recommendations a few weeks ago and I can't seem to find it. Can someone help me. Thanks

I don't know where it was, but I work with vets all over the continent and in the UK, my Dad was a vet and I am pretty versed in what makes a good veterinarian...can't recommend Mark Froimovitch highly enough. I love Frances Dugan too, she is mostly large animal but has helped me so many times, recently with my senior dog passing over. Those two are outstanding. http://gatineauvet.ca/
Cat L. replied:
I'd add, if you are seeking holistic care, Eddy Beltran at the Blair clinic in Ottawa. A long way and you pay more for holistic services, but he's a wonderful vet and person.

Hi, is there a place in Chelsea/Wakefield that takes injured wild life?
Thank you
Pablo S. replied:
What type of animal? Off the top of my head, Paul 'Little Ray' Goulet may be able to help out along any reptilian front. The best vet I know are in Perkins, just before Tim Hortons 819-671-8383.They were so kind when I had to put down my dog.Their prices are very fair. They are all female there. They also have a table that lowers to the ground and lifts up for older or heavier dogs.they take their time and are very interested in ALL the animals that go there.

Trazodone, made ours very dopey and relaxed. We used this for separation anxiety. It was cheaper than buying new doors and crates. We had to go to a behaviour specialist out in Osgood who prescribed this medication. We generally use Doctor Tounkara at veterinarian lac lemy in hull, it's where ms petalia sends allot of their animals.
