Any Nola Doctors Specializing in Childhood Eating Disorders, ARFID/Severe Picky Eating? I'm looking for recommendations for doctors/centers in New Orleans that...

Not sure if she - and the other affiliated specialists - handle childhood eating disorders (you mentioned over 10, whereas I was 15+ when I saw them), but here are some: Catherine Varino for psychologist. Corey Walsh worked in the same building and was a nutritionist I saw concurrent with therapy. Kendall Genre for psychiatry - used to be on Maple, now in the Riverbend. I’m not sure where Catherine Varino and Corey Walsh are now, but they used to be on Hampson and are probably still there or at least Uptown. I had childhood Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder which, in adolescence, became comorbid with (or morphed into) orthorexia/anorexia then bulimia. I’m recovered now, and recommend the people I saw.

You can call the office and ask, although I assume most child and adolescent psychiatrists would have a fairly large contingent of patients with eating disorders and be trained in the same. When you call their office ask which (if any) inpatient facilities they deal with in case that becomes necessary. That said, a psychiatrist is going to manage the medical aspects of the eating disorders, and probably refer the patient for additional counseling for behavioral issues.

an occupational therapist or speech language pathologist can also treat this. https://www.feedingmatters.org/providers/speech-and-feeding-specialists-of-louisiana I would look into LSUHSC speech clinic, or OT clinic, or Children's Hospital. Edit: The SLPs/OTs can rule out any structural or sensory issue. I'm taking into consideration there's not enough info on here regarding your child, but initially seeking a psychiatrist isn't a bad idea either.
