I ride the Metro into work every day, so I've used Pugh's and also C&D Auto. Both are located within 1-2 blocks of College Park Metro, near the Aviation Museum. They don't upsell, and Pugh's has coupons all the time in those mailed ValuPak envelopes.

My husband use to work at a Shell station in Springfield. I know a gas station is the last place most people would go but it's huge and the staff is awesome. They are extremely honest. Cardinal Plaza Shell at Old Keene Mill and Rolling Road. Honestly, I swear by them and have had many happy friends.
