Anyone know of a vet that will come to the house to put our dear old german sheperd to sleep. I found one that wants to charge $250, but i think thats crazy.
Lindsay W. replied:
Yes. Contact VETERINARY MEDICAL CENTER OF FORT MILL. They specialize in just that.
Lindsay W. replied:
Ask for Dr Julie Reck.
Eric B. replied:
Dr Glen at Faulkners as been known to do this in special cases, they are very reasonable in all their charges. Sounds like you have a special case, I'm sorry your old guy faces his time now, but I revel in his life and the joy you've shared.
Donna C. replied:
Kim Ray! I woke up thinking about you today. I just wanted to make sure that when you find someone to come out, that you are not home alone. I would be more than happy to come sit with you and your sweet guy.
Amy P. replied:
Maple Veterinary Mobile Services. No idea on rates, but I know dr. Jacobs is awesome!
Rachel P. replied:
http://www.visitingvetonline.com/ this is who I used. It is so hard to do this, but I will say it did reduce the trauma of having to put my pet through the stress of the car and the coldness of the exam table. We sat with him in his favorite place under his favorite tree in our yard and he was buried there shortly after he was gone.
Kim R. replied:
Dr. Davis came to our house and did it ): A great guy, with a love for animals.
Kim R. replied:
Dr. Davis is a super guy, and if I ever have to have one of my animals pts, I'd call him again. Thank you all, and Im sorry about your kitty Rick B ):
Donna C. replied:
Dr. Booker charged us less than $50 in his office a few months ago. We had to put down our lab.

Dr. Zoe Forward at Carolina Pets - Wesley Chapel Shops. Weddington animal hospital saved my 15 yr old dogs life. Dr. Armstrong is an amazing doctor. She even took my dog home with her because she didn't want him to get tangled in his IV wires over night.....unheard of!!!!! Pricing seemed in line to others. Highly recommend!!!!
Our older schnauzer needs a new local vet. She has immediate needs for a tooth extraction. Can anyone recommend a good Veterinary doctor in Waxhaw?
Laura M. replied:
Providence South or Waxhaw Animal Hospital
Judy S. replied:
I use Sun Valley Animal Hospital, left the vet in Waxhaw years ago. My two older dogs have multiple health issues, and Sun Valley provides excellent and affordable care.
Myka J. replied:
Waxhaw Animal Hospital has free dental exams. If you call and set up an appointment a tech and Dr will come in and look at your dogs teeth and they will give you an estimated price for the procedure.
Patrice B. replied:
Monroe Animal Hospital. Very competant and reasonable.
Leslie A. replied:
Shop around. Tooth extraction can be very pricey. Please understand that your pup is a senior and will need blood work and if need be fluids for the procedure. This will be the standard for the 'modern vet practice.' If price is an issue then I will encourage you to find a local small town vet, I.E. Ft Mill Animal Clinic or perhaps Fort Lawn A.C. older and both established practices and quite capable of handling the extraction and cleaning.
Brandy L. replied:
Dr.Booker at central providence animal hospital is amazing 704-844-8387

Eric B. replied:
I've never used one, but found a couple with Google. I know it's been five hours, but is there anything I could help with? I take my animals to Faulkners primarily, but Waxhaw Animal Hospital has helped me through a couple emergencies. https://www.google.com/search?q=mobile+vet+union+county+nc&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8

FAULKNER!!!! My dachshund had a miscarriage and had emergency surgery, Dr. Faulkner gave me his personal cell number and told us to call him anytime, even at night, if we had any questions. Love them!!
Sherry W. replied:
Mercy Animal and Indian Trail Animal hospitals are both awesome! Mercy's prices are the cheapest around too.
Jennifer G. replied:
I go to Faulkner's because it is closer. Everyone I have encountered there seems to really care about your pet and wants the best for them. They WILL NOT do any unnecessary treatments without asking first and explaining why they feel it is needed. Walk ins are welcome but you could have to wait for a while. Brown Creek is similar from what friends I know use them but it's too far away for me since I live in the Parkwood community.
Laurie L. replied:
Faulkner. All the way. I had 2 4 week old pups that were very close to death. Not only did they help, they took their time, helped me out so it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Cause only one pup was going to be mine but couldn't let one stay sick and help the other. Love Dr. Knox. So much compassion.
