We liked Bright Horizons on Cottage Grove Across from Cigna. Only went there one year before we got into St Joes School for Young Children. Bright Horizons is expensive but not as much as St Joes if you go full time.

I'll also recommend Educational Playcare in Farmington -- the staff is excellent, and the facility is gorgeous, especially the toddler playground.

We used KinderCare Learning Center on the WH/Farmington line just past UCONN for both our sons (now older). Both literally from 6 months all the way through their pre-school program, which is excellent. We haven't been there for 3 years now, but when we were there, the staff were excellent, the place was incredibly clean, the educational and social programs were very good and totally prepared them for Kindergarten and elementary school. The Center Director is Erin Barone, you should call her for a tour. 860-677-1810 (she's been there for as long as my children were there, and my oldest is 10!)

I adored The School for Young Children at St Joseph College. Both of my girls went through there- the staff, administration, teachers, and experience are amazing!! Cannot rave enough about it.

First Church Nursery School in WH - less expensive than St. Joe's and just as fabulous. School does not teach religious doctrine - it just uses the church's space.
Hi, can anyone recommend theater/drama type classes for preschool or kindergarten age? (Is there such a thing?) I have a very dramatic little one who loves to re-enact...

If you are willing to drive a little bit The Red Door Theater in Feeding Hills, MA is wonderful! Even if you go check out one of their performances, you will love it!!

Lyndsey Repoli check online at CREC magnet schools CT. I think the lottery starts soon. Montessori is expensive but I was going to put Trae in there if he didn't get in the Magnet schools. AND the magnet schools are FREE! Most offer before care and after care for $$$ but I love the school my son is in!!! Museum Academy in Bloomfield
