Lisa H. replied:
This is why I’m suing, or going thru arbitration with them. That vehicle was our only mode of transportation. My husband was unable to pick up extra hours at work, and actually missed a few days because he had no way to get there. I’m 1/2 mile away from my job, but I have some medical issues that cold exasperates. So even tho I walked to work a few days, I had migraines throughout my whole shift, and it was a Bitch to get the pain down to a manageable level. My son missed school several days, until we could get a bus lined up for him. We lost income, which we really couldn’t afford to lose, especially at Christmas time. I work nights, so regular business hours is when I sleep, so I can be there for my son when he gets home from school. Since this happened, I was averaging about 2-3 hours of sleep a day, since I stayed awake trying to make all the phone calls to locate my car. This is why I’m holding Pep Boys responsible. I had a verbal contract with them to tow my vehicle to the nearest pep boys service center. This was confirmed and I received a confirmation number. I told them I couldn’t stay with the vehicle, as I had my 6 year old son with me, and both my husband and I had to get to work. They confirmed that they could tow an unattended vehicle. I confirmed my phone number, and my work phone number, with the operator before I got off the phone. They told me which tow company would be coming to get the car, and the approximate time frame. By the time our ride got there, there was 45 mins left until the tow truck was due to arrive. When I called Pep Boys IGH the next morning, I was given reasonable assumption that my vehicle was there. The service manager told me that they have not had s chance to look at my car yet. I again confirmed my phone number for them to call to tell me what was wrong with my car. I never received a phone call. I called again Monday morning. This was when they told me my vehicle never made it there. They had the service order that is automatically generated when a tow is ordered, but they didn’t have my car. I then called East Metro Towing, the company that Pep Boys contracted with to tow my vehicle. I was able to talk to the dispatcher who was on Friday night. She remembered my vehicle. Said pep boys called to get an estimated time, but never called or sent confirmation over to tow the vehicle, so they did not even send a truck out to get it. I confirmed my phone number with Pep Boys multiple times, and not once did I receive a call stating that the tow never picked up my vehicle, or that it wasn’t at the service center. Or that there was any issue whatsoever. T

take a look at the following. The time period depends on your situation. but generally it is three weeks. https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/?id=504B.178
Brian H. replied:
Kari Skjerseth, they might postmark your deposit with tomorrow's date on it and that may suffice as returning it in time. Not sure about that. If you're inclined, the lawyer at the Court Building could answer that for you. Maybe that Home Line lawyer would be easier to access as you need to be downtown early to sign up and then wait for the city lawyer etc..
Has anyone created their will online with a free template-if so, who did you use and pros/cons? Follow up question-does anyone recommend a lawyer for will preparation...
Eric L. replied:
Our employer has a very affordable Group Legal benefit, which is such a good idea for many reasons. One of them was being able to meet with a real lawyer to have our wills and whatnot done, and it was fully covered. Talk to your employer.

If "in the area" means the Twin Cities, Kathy Tatone is a great attorney. (She does wills too but most estate attorneys do wills because that's one part of estate planning. She's not a will factory if that's what you're trying to avoid.) http://m.elderlawlawyermn.com
