Greetings all! I've run into a snag. I need to find a technician, ham radio builder, or anyone with the knowledge to do what I think will be a simple repair on a stereo...

I don't have the correct test equipment to work on tube circuits, nor do I have any resources or the correct knowledge for that type of gear. However, there is a shop in Easthampton that deals with a lot of vintage stuff, Rene's... He was closed a few weeks back due to a fire next door to his business, but it may be worth a call to see if he is working out of another location. There is also Spearit Sound in Northampton - they deal with higher-end, pro-consumer audio and may know where to have a tube amp serviced. As I am thinking about this, Tony at ATC Audio in West Springfield may know as well because a lot of guitar amps use still use tubes. If all these options fail you, I have a few more I can suggest. A definite but extreme solution is United Radio, based in Syracuse.

All of my suggestions are people or businesses I have actually worked with over the past 25 years and can be trusted. In fact, you can mention my name, Ken Stomski, from the Electronics Center in Northampton. i think you may ultimately be dealing with United Radio in Syracuse. Please let me know how things work out!
