Go to home depot and get Garage Door Lub in a spray can. Spray the wheels and the track . See if that works? Do not mess with the springs or try to adjust them yourself. Hire a Door Company to do that .. Springs can carry a walup!

You can get your car out. Pull the emegency cord attached tonyour opener. It allows you to manually open and close the door. It may be inconvenient, but it saves an emergency fee for rushing out tonight. Call Broten. (954) 260-5353 they ave always been fair and prompt. Good luck!

5 of my neighbors including myself used Rudy Guevara A Plus Mega Overhead Doors Inc, 754-368-6668. They installed the same exact door Broten was going to install but for hundreds less. Get a quote from both and the difference will amaze you.

I just contacted Marko Door in Davie about my (currently not working) garage door and have found them to be very responsive - they haven't been out to do the work yet so I can't vouch for that, but they've answered several questions and their prices seem comparable to others. They also offer next day service (if they are unable to do same day) - I know Home Depot typically schedules several days out....I got their name from Angie's List where they have great reviews...
