I watched a bird for a friend and he got an uber to bring it here. After your trip is booked just message the driver. If they cancel try again. Have some towels and a way to mitigate any mess. I’ve also had to take an uber for an emergency vet trip with a cat. Again just text the driver before they pick you up. Best of luck with the bird

Reviews on yelp ([https://www.yelp.com/biz/avian-and-exotic-animal-hospital-hawthorne](https://www.yelp.com/biz/avian-and-exotic-animal-hospital-hawthorne)) say that this vet is very good with birds. I'd try to find a different avian specialist vet today, but if you can't get to one, their number is 310-679-0693.

Dr. Robert Woods, DVM in Orange, CA. He is knowledgeable about birds and an amazing vet. They also open earlier in the morning (7 AM) than the place in Hawthorne. @Penelope - Western Shores I have used before - also All Pets in Pedro at Western/Caddington behind the Wells Fargo Bank - if you go a couple miles more to Narbonne & 255 th in Lomita is Lomita Pet Hospital - I recommend all 3 vets I have met (taking my fosters there) and they will work with Rescues if you set it all up

This vets office is not pretty but they are reasonable.. Loma Vista veternary.at the five points. I also second the afordable vet.place. rolling hills vet used to be good but changed ownership and got ridiculous

I can't say enough about this veterinarian. Very loving to animals and all children who come into her office. Her staff so friendly and when the time came for me to put my doggie to sleep even the guy who had to do it he was so very sincere and kind and loving to my doggie and gentle and talked to doggie and patient while we said our goodbyes and he stayed with us and petted her and there was no rushing us or making us feel like this was something he did everyday. He was genuine and even after we left days later he wrote me a lovely letter to let me know that he understood my pain and that he wished me and my family peace in our hearts.
