The Big White House far side of Cockermouth is good but might be too big, great dining room, ideal for a party or family gathering, 11 bedrooms

We stayed at Old Belfield Apartment in Bowness-on-Windermere. It was a ten minute walk into the centre and was really cosy with a huge garden. Reasonably priced too.
