I take my Jack Russell to Animal Trust at Bolton. They are a none profit making organisation so you know the advice they give you is in the best interest of your beloved pet, and I have always been very happy taking Ruby there.@@@@They do no charge consultation fees, which is a big plus@@@@

I left Atherton vets after my cat died a few days after he'd been seen and given a clean bill of health. Changed to My Pet Vet in Leigh who are fantastic. They also have their own emergency service x

MPV Twist Lane. Would never use Vet Care again. They put my cat through unnecessary suffering to get thousands out of us. MPV took on his aftercare after VC eventually referred my cat to a specialist vet hospital for an emergency operation. Even the vets at the hospital said it was disgusting that VC didn't refer him sooner and they said we should have taken them to court over it but our cats life and health was more important and we just wanted him to get better. MPV also saved my dogs life when he was a puppy when he ate some iron tablets. VC also botched an operation on a family members dog when the dog had to have her tail amputated and she had to have another operation to fix the mess they made first time round x

Having used both My Pets Vets and Vetcare I would say MPV is best. Only for dogs mind so no experience of whether good or not for cats.
what is the best local vet that is open into the evening, anyone know please?
Emma C. replied:
Dont bother with anyone but Atherton Vets.. my westie is 12 and theyve dealt with her since she was a puppy. Fantastic staff and Mr Hart is a brilliant caring vet xx
