Can anyone recommend a veterinarian in Wilmington (pref. N. Wilm)?
Carrie C. replied:
We love the one across the street from gallucios too. Kentmere Animal hospital655-6610
Mandy B. replied:
That's where we took Cuddles, too. We took Sam to Windcrest Animal Hospital on Lancaster Ave for an emergency once and they were great. http://www.windcrestanimal.com/
Lizzie S. replied:
Dr.Coogan is the best! Make sure you ask for him at Kentmere Animal hospital cause the woman that works on his off days is really really mean. But we've been going to Coogan for 22 years and im sad I had to switch my animals.
Dawn A. replied:
Dr Coogan. Kentmere Vet. Best Vet ever. We love him.
Could I have some veterinarian recommendations in North Wilmington? Thanks in advance. :-)

Brandywine Vet in Chadds Ford is not too far but they are great 610-459-0500; tell them Sep sent you!
Shannon S. replied:
We switched to VCA Newark from Branmar when Zeke was sick and the Branmar vet didn't seem interested in finding out what was wrong with him. But now we keep making these trips to Newark and they don't seem to know what's ailing any of our animals, but are charging a ton of money to shrug and say, "we don't know."
Wendy A. replied:
Branmar veterinarians on Philly Plke.
Evelyn D. replied:
Kentmere... Dr.Coogan is amazing!!!
Carrie S. replied:
Wilmington Animal Hospital on Philly Pike. Left Branmar for them because the vet. at Branmar is horrible. Sorry Wendy Ash!
Does anyone know an excellent vet who doesn't feel the need to run dozen of test to find a solution to common problems typical old cats have?
Terri H. replied:
Concord Pike Veterinary. ( 302 ) 478-6092. Call me if you want to ask any questions.
Susan K. replied:
I usually go to Concord as well. They are less expensive for office visits and mostly everything else. The only thing I advise for any vet is if you have a prescription, see if it can be fillled at Rite Aid for chesper. My Pumpkins pulmonary meds are $300.00 less than the vet.
Margaret K. replied:
Thank you all. I found an exceptional vet. Elizabeth McKinstry. She is talented and reasonably priced.
Nina D. replied:
Conchester Animal Hospital is great Kathy Tracy the best.

Best of luck, as it is very hard to keep them created....but it's for a short period of time, and then they have the rest of their life to make up for it. I'm not sure where you live, but I can tell you that my vet, Dr Carter at Faith & Healing, is located in Richwood...her and the entire staff are not only great at what they do, but the TLC they give the fur babies is above and beyond!:)
Michele M. replied:
Thanks. I have heard alot of good things about Dr. Carter!
Nikki M. replied:
At least consult with a vet to see what they recommend. I took in a family members dog in as my own that turned out to be hw + Dr Becker from Brazoria Vet Clinic treated the 13 or so year old dog the slow kill method for heartworms. It was the only re commendation bc of her age. A year later, this past march she tested negative. Each case has variables so get the advice of the vet so you can be sure. You have the same restrictions, but for much longer. Wishing the best for you and your puppy.

I Rescued Missy ( On the Right ) Almost 4 years ago, & She was Hw+ Dr. Dobson Ang. Vet. treated her Fast Kill I guess. She was in the hospital for 3 days, then a month later 2 days, & 2 weeks later a over nighter. Total cost $1200. She is Now Healthy:) . But it was rough during the treatment Time. Had to keep her very Calm. Hate to Crate
Karen H. replied:

I'm happy at Wilmington Animal Hospital, they're up to date on the latest treatments for Feline Diabetes and they did an incredible job when my cat Kerry needed an emergency eye-removal surgery. They are however, not cheap.
Does anyone recommend any reasonably priced veterinarians in Northern Wilmington? Thank you!
