Gerald, There was a Cotton Club in Spartanburg in the '20's but it was more like the Grange....They traded cotton seeds and set the price for a Bale O' Cotton... The Night Club.."The Cotton Club" was located on Hwy 29 in GREERS, SC..........

ok..this one has a mystery attached to it Frank Burns was stationed at Camp Croft and he owned the Pecan Grove nightclub and was married to Betty Hughes from Greenville, and he left one morning in like 1948 and was never seen again..that is all the info I could find......??? so now we all want to know more ..right?

We do not need to close the files on frank Burns just yet..I believe he might still be around but six feet under..Maybe Claude Shields (From above comment) could tell us but i think he has been gone for years..

Something a lot of folks do not know that During WW2 1941-1945 that we had a lot of Black market selling going on..For you younger ones that means people were buying and selling under the counter without the needed stamps ect..Sugar,Gasoline,Meat.certain clothes made from Nylon are silk and too much to list..I was a kid but i saw it happen many times..Folks selling would double are triple there prices..

Here's some advice from Ann Morken, our Group Fitness Coordinator: I would recommend wearing comfortable sturdy tennis shoes for Boot Camp and Kickboxing. Most people wear running shoes and cross trainers are good too. For Zumba you can list this reference and say some people have purchased dance type shoes. http://bestexerciseshoes.com/shoes-to-wear-to-zumba/ For Dance Fusion you could wear running shoes, cross trainers or dance sneakers like they recommend in The above article for Zumba.
