Have a friend that is looking to hear about experiences from other people who have dealt with pediatric dentistry issues - her 6 year old has a cavity that's deep enough...
Elizabeth C. replied:
I would say pull it and go with the spacer.. Good chance that could happen even if you did a crown first. Less traumatic for the kid. Nilgun Nina Akpinar Chung she is indicating that the crown process that the dentist is talking about is going to be very expensive and not covered by insurance....it is a molar
We like Dr. Krieger! His staff is awesome and they make Adaline feel so relaxed about everything. http://atlantapds.com/
Linzee C. replied:
We love Dr. Lisa at Dentistry for Children in Roswell. She is so kind and patient and actually filled my daughter's cavity without her even knowing! She knew that my daughter has some anxiety issues so she didn't mention it to her, but told me that she thought she could do it without her knowing she even had a cavity. She is amazing!
We are looking for a new pediatric dentist in Marietta/Kennesaw/Acworth area. Recommendations? Go!
Laura H. replied:
My Kids Dentist is great off Bells Ferry. I don't know if they take insurance though
Andrea S. replied:
We use Dr. K at Dentisty for Children. 375 Parkway 575, Suite 100, Woodstock, GA. Be sure to tell them we referred you. 770-924-0424. You will like him.
Marjorie R. replied:
There is one on Jiles Rd...I can't think of their name. But I take the girls to Dental One Associates by Town Center. They are great with kids and very clean.. You know me with my dental background, I'm very picky.
We are looking for a new pediatric dentist. Anyone you like?
Andrea Y. replied:
Kellyann Cruz - we also see Dr O'Donnell and LOVE him. The boys saw him for the first time about 6 months ago. Lenore's prices for a visit are about right because the total for visit and X-rays was about $250 for each child. I don't believe he'd suggest interventions you don't need. Seth had a cavity in a baby tooth but it wasn't hurting him. Dr O'Donnell suggested that we not spend money on it unless it started to cause pain because it would fall out eventually anyway. He knew that we have dental insurance that would have paid for a tooth extraction or filing but didn't suggest doing it.
Genevieve S. replied:
I don't know if Town Lake is too far away, but we've had great experiences with Park Pediatric Dentistry. (actually switched my 3 there after he took such good care of one of my "bonus kids")
Brandy S. replied:
Werner Pediatric Dentistry - Dr. Sheva Werner. She is awesome!
Krista D. replied:
We LOVE Dr. Michael Leach (was just there this morning!) and they are a fellow Northbrook preschool family (he is off Winward). Also, love the orthodontist he works with next door, Dr. James Awbrey, for future reference.
Lenore D. replied:
Kellyann Cruz, three of us went to the dentist for a regular 6 month check up. I believe it was $270. That seems low for three, so I could be mistaken. I think exams are $125-$150.
Kellyann C. replied:
Lenore Diane-Did that include X-rays, cleaning and flouride? Because of RJ's teeth issues we've been told that a regular dentist won't see him, it has to be a pediatric dentist. He has a small mouth and big teeth, obviously braces are very near in our future.
Jennifer P. replied:
We use Roswell Pediatric Dentistry and they are awesome!
Stephanie P. replied:
We go to Alpharetta Children's Dentistry. Natalie sees Dr. Caruso, but all the others seem very nice as well.
Lenore D. replied:
We love our family dentist in downtown Alpharetta. Dr. Robert J. O'Donnell, D.D.S..
Elizabeth L. replied:
We have been going to First Care Pediatric Dentistry in Woodstock which we like. However noticed this week their website no longer exists, so not sure what is going on.
Jill T. replied:
We also see Dr. Caruso at Alpharetta Dentistry. They are out of network for our insurance, but we pay the extra out of pocket because they are SO good with our kids. I never worry about them doing anything unnecessary. They have even done a couple of treatments without charging me because they were really small things. I appreciate that!
Julie F. replied:
Alpharetta Children's Dentistry is THE best. We see Dr. Caruso and my kids love her.
Chason G. replied:
We go to chatahoochee pediatric in east cobb. Dr David Bradberry is his name. He has never done anything unnecessary and He is very reasonable with his pricing. I called several before I started seeing him. He also came highly recommended by friends whose children have gone for 20 years and also one of the physicians in our practice.
Dr. Nath in Roswell is very gentle and calm. Do NOT go to Children's Dentistry of Woodstock in Towne Lake. It's a crazy zoo assembly-line in there.:-/
Carol D. replied:
We go to Roswell Pediatric Dentistry (Dr. Nath) also. Highly recommend- all geared towards kids.
Linzee C. replied:
We used to go to Dr. Nath and I liked the dentist just fine, but I didn't love the office. Three times in a row, they didn't call us back until at least 30 minutes after our appointment and then they ask that the parents not go back. My final straw was when my daughter was back there for an hour and a half even after going back late. We recently just changed to Dentistry for children, Roswell off of Etris and I was a little apprehensive because it is another big box type, but we have loved it and Dr. Lisa is amazing with kids! The office is really fun, we've gotten in early or on time every time, they let me go back with my kids, and Dr. Lisa is the sweetest dentist ever! She was even able to fill a cavity in my daughter's mouth without her even knowing! My girls ask to go to the dentist all the time now!
Catherine T. replied:
We love Dr. Chung at East Cobb Dental. He's not a pediatric dentist, but has two young kids and is great with kids!
Ashley B. replied:
Definitely recommend Dr. Lisa at Dentistry for Children Roswell/Sweet Apple Village. They are great with kids & parents have total access. Super fun environment and very friendly staff.
Heather B. replied:
We go to Dr O'Donnell - Family Dentist in Alpharetta. They are gentle with children and cater to adults as well.
Anyone know of a good pediatric dentist in Woodstock? Waited for an hour in the office, just to be told that they scheduled my appt incorrectly.
Ashley B. replied:
Dentistry For Children in Sweet Apple Village...they are great once you get back there...but I won't say I've never waited!
Kerri E. replied:
We use Werner Pediatric Dentistry in Town Lake & love them!! Small office, grt staff, conveniently close & never crowded
Amy H. replied:
Just don't go to the Children's Dentistry of Woodstock in Town Lake. It's an insane assembly line madhouse. We still go to Roswell Pediatric Dentistry in Crabapple by VG Bistro. If you like your old dentist, I'd make the drive.
Mary W. replied:
I have used Crabapple Dental. Dr. Sarah Roberts. She is an amazing dentist with a great team. She is not necessarily pediatrics (but she has two little girls of her own). She started our relationship when we first moved here. Emily was only 5.
Jennifer W. replied:
I texted a hygienist friend of mine in Woodstock. She recommends Parks Pediatric in Towne Lake.
I am looking for a new dentist. Either pediatric dentist or even a family dentist that is great with kids. Trying to stay within the Woodstock or Canton area. Anyone...
Stayce P. replied:
My kids used to go to Dr. Steele right before you get to Walmart on Bells Ferry. We really liked them I know they're good with teens. They stopped taking our insurance:(
Tara S. replied:
Brad and I use Dr. Peacock on Main Street in Woodstock. They see kids too. But my kids love childrens dentistry of Woodstock in Towne Lake.
Andrea D. replied:
First Care Pediatric dentist. They are in Woodstock! We love, love, love Dr. K! (Kiamathi)
Anybody have a pediatric dentist near Marietta/ Woodstock that they LOVE? It's Noah's first dental appointment, and he may be difficult to persuade......
