I was also told the only eye doctor who takes medi-cal in Siskiyou County is Dr. Brooks in Mt. Shasta thats where my daughter and I go. He is awesome.
Kari L. replied:
Also if you need glasses, I know Mt shasta will do the glasses, but I also heard Dr. Horn will do glasses on Medi-cal:)

Dr Horn is good. He actually listened to what I wanted and needed and his prices are reasonable. He takes the time to make sure he gets the prescription right and doesn't charge extra if you have to come back because the glasses aren't working.
Rachael C. replied:
Dr. Horn:) prices match costco and walmart in Medford and he's the nicest guy ever. I had a horrible allergic reaction that turned into an infection and he fit me in his appointments that day and was super nice about it
Susan M. replied:
Dr. Larson is leaving the area! Dr. Horn is on Bruce Street in the building next to Dr. Swensons.
Based on experience only, who is the best optometrist in Yreka to take a child to and why? I'm looking for the best one for my 5 year old son.

Based on personal experience I would never take a child to Dr Horn or the Eye Center. We go to Dr Barnes up at Costco. He uses to be the eye Dr in Fort Jones.
Tracy G. replied:
I trust Dr Horn. His staff is also amazing. I've seen him with a child patient when i was there and he seemed very kid friendly.

Dr. Horn is awesome, he has helped my girls who both had strabismus and he gave us a referral to a great opthamalogist in Oregon who ultimately did their surgeries. He has always been good with me too.
Shelly K. replied:
Dr Horn is amazing!! And affordable! I had a diabetic eye exam with dilation and it was only $75. And you get your glasses usually in 2 days. Highly recommended!
